I just hope Niemi doesn't register another shotless win
- BulliesPhan87

Well Brian Campbell doesn't play for the Stars, so we don't have to worry about him deflecting a sure goal, so we might have a chance!

BSchenn is having a good run at 1RW so I'm OK with him staying there, but playing Voracek with VdV for this long is dumb.

But they are winning. So the archaic thinking of not changing anything must be applied.

Thanks Bill. The players need to pay attention to the gaps between the lines. Too many times, the other team is able to get behind the forwards, and create problems,or opportunities.
In addition, turnovers are still an issue, and I wish that they would stop the passes to open space.
Glad they escaped with a win. The last 10-15 minutes of play were stressful for the fan. If they hadn't taken a couple of dumb penalties, it would have been much easier for them. But again, a win is a win.
Congrats to G on his continued excellent play.

it could work in their favor with the stars sitting around a few days. working on face save drills in practice only gets you so far. nothing like a real game.

The team is going good right now. Lots of even strength scoring chances. I don't know why you'd touch the lines now.

Because Voracek being 10th out of 12 forwards in ES ice time is not a good use of the talent on this team.

And also apparently applies when they get blasted at home by the BJs.

Say what you want but the flyers can generate a more evenly applied attack with the way the lines are now. Bellemares line has been getting chances and couts line is humming.

Agreed. It's so stupid. Have to get him back with Giroux.

But Voracek is a playmaker, and a puck possession monster, so regardless of who he plays with they are going to generate chances. The issue is Bellemare and VDV while being serviceable players, can't finish.

looking forward to this rematch. i'm expecting niemi to make at least one save with his face while he's flopping around.

PLEASE GET JAKE OFF THAT (frank)ING LINE.

- hammarby31

He doesn't have Brian Campbell to help make a facemask save while falling forward, or something.

Flyers have two lines really going now. He'll be back up at some point probably but now is not the time. Bellemares line, if they can possess the puck and bring a strong cycle and forecheck game is all they really need right now. The flyers are a more dangerous team at evens right now getting higher quality scoring chances across the board

They're winning, playing fairly well at ES

I don't love everything Hakstol does but I do care about results, and so far this season they are not disappointing me. They have been playing fairly consistent hockey for a decent period of time

Fair enough. Can't argue with this. I just want to see Voracek start putting the puck in the net.

I think he is clearly so much more comfortable on the right side. I really hope he stays there. He is dominant at puck retrieval

I wasnt really around last year...what was the feeling when Voracek was scoring and the team was terrible? Just wondering because Jake could finish with 1 goal and 40 assists for all I care if the Flyers continue to play like this for the remainder of the season

Same reason why Hartnell was traded. To cater to that mongoloid Berube.

Bottom line is Jake has to start producing no matter who he is playing with. This goes back to a good part of the final 30 games of last season when he WAS playing with Giroux.

An 8 million dollar player (yes, I know, next season) should have the skill level to produce against lesser competition on his own. He needs to start imposing himself more. He looks tentative and has no confidence.

He's gotta shoot it on the net to do so. He's always pass first. I wish he took Jagr's advice last season. Just shoot the puck more

I'm with you. He's a great playmaker, who has the ability to be a 20+ goal scorer. Playing him with players who can't put the puck in the net, or set him up to score is really a waste of time. But this is a flawed roster, so there aren't a ton of options. It's seem like a no brainer to me to put him back with Giroux.

I think he needs to go get the puck and do it himself. Or at least start trying to do this. Its not like he is out there against the other teams best defenders.

Exactly. Last season he would skate through groups of players on other team with ease. He had a fire goin at all times. Remember how aggressive he was against the Pens game when he fought Scuderi? He was playing like he was possessed. Last year anytime he touched the puck it seemed something would generate. I need that Jake back
