It's quiet around here lately. I know how to liven in up.

Beer, chicken wings, pizza, more beer, chicken fingers, chicken wing, chicken wing.

Johnny Gaudreau: such a small, small man...yet so dynamic. So graceful. So mighty, strong, and sturdy. With a name like Gaudreau, you would think he was straight off the boat from French Canada, alas; the little guy is as American as a brick of McDonald's apple pie. What a delightful time I'm having watching the point per game man have his way with our beloved Sabres tonight.

The LWer liked offside on that 2nd goal. In saying that, how can two cgy guys we alonein front of the net - where were either dman?? Sickening and probably end if game now - can't allow for a goal with 10/secs left

Zach Bogosian felt the need to chase the puck. He's seriously having a pitiful start to this season.

Moulson and Larsson to blame as well, neither collapsed when Bogo bailed.

What's wrong with these Buffalo coaches failing to challenge plays this year? Are our coaches that dim-witted and uneducated enough on the rules of the game not to challenge these plays ??? Rex one week, now big Dan tonight. What a disgrace.

I didn't see the play. Heard they were looking at it on the radio. Was it worth a challenge ?

Let me preface this by saying it's clearly a good goal.

Ok, now I really think I'm in bizarro world. Brad May made a good point. I'll add-on. If you're going to have the challenge for offside then why not just have Toronto review every goal? They could do it in a fraction of the time it takes the on ice officials. There would probably be no lag between the goal scored and the normal amount of time until the next face-off. The NFL gets it done in the time between the TD and the time it takes for the PAT to happen. Ok, sometimes you have to wait 5 seconds, but that's a price I'd pay to get the call "right". I use the quotes because how many of these were called onside when in fact they were offside before this year.

Edit: How can you expect one human to focus on 2 points that could be up to 80' apart? That's not physically possible.

No, definitely a good goal. Close, but definitely onside.

I made a similar point a while ago pertaining to reviewing offsides...if it is so "black and white" as people like to claim it is...install RF readers in the puck, the jerseys, the skates, etc. so when an offside occurs the computer can signal a light on the ice...notifying the officials......enough with this review poop 2 min. after the fact and then a 5 min review process
