Or the fact that Renaid Lachance was "in bed" with the Liberals

To be fair, I wouldn't be surprised if we hear the same about Charbonneau with the PQ. Everything in this story sucks very much.

You've missed the point, don't care if he has 12 nannies.

But:'My family is rich, we don't need to use taxpayer dollars for our child care

Those are his words.

Point is Harper isn't the only liar, they all are..

- pete26

child care = universal child care benefits (UCCB)... which is something our income taxes pays, and is a government program.

the PM's child care costs are handled by the PM's discretionary budgets (also paid by our taxes, but it's not a government program available to all)...what he was saying is he doesn't need the UCCB...he wasn't renouncing his budget as PM...he's saying he'll reform UCCB so that rich families who do not NEED it, don't GET it...

Not really...but ok. just know that one pocket is (frank)ing huge and a lot of people who don't need that money get it...while the other pocket has a bit of money for one person.

Prime Minister Stephen Harper, along with his daughter, Rachel, and Heritage Minister (and longtime Vancouver Canucks fan) James Moore, took the government's Challenger jet to Boston to take in Game 4 of the Stanley Cup final.

was that the left or the right pocket?

money is money.

both the UCCB and the discretionary budget are taxpayer funded.

now once again, I have absolutely no problem with taxpayer funds paying for the PMs nannies. I think as a country we'd look pretty silly if we told our elected PM to call the babysitter from down the street so he can attend the G8 summit.

All I did was comment on the fact that during his campaign he said himself that as a wealthy family, his does not need government money to help take care of their kids.

now whether you want to argue the semantics of whether it's called the UCCB or the discretionary budget, there is government money helping take care of his kids. Again, I have no problem with it.
