They could have send him down on a conditioning stint, but it implies that he's back with the team within a maximum of 14 days. That way he doesn't have to clear waivers...but my guess is that management is not eager to seem him back with the team.

If you only consider the hospital site itself yes. But they are talking about acquiring the sites next to it.

guess it depends what happens. if he goes down and joins the team, not sure it's a (frank) off as much as giving him a chance to earn his way back. if they think he's such a mess and a terrible influence, they will want him nowhere near the AHL team either.

I hope he's been training and staying fit, don't think he's been sitting in a rubber room for the last few months.

I cracked a rib 2 weeks ago playing hockey. Know what hurts more than a broken rib? Playing hockey with it 2 days ago (well before it was healed), diving to break up a partial breakaway, and cracking a rib on the other side.

I don't know how my wife puts up with my abject stupidity.
