Whats the best spirit to add to eggnog? I know that if you make eggnog yourself you should heat it up because the raw eggs could be contaminated but does anyone know if you bought eggnog from a milk carton at a store, does it carry risk / need to be heateD?

I've actually never had eggnog, but pretty much anything you'll prepare yourself will be better than what you buy at the store, so yeah, depends on how lazy you are.
