He's been great his entire career. A true franchise goalie. Although New Jersey is a horrific mess side from him |

Two of the top 3 is pretty funny but both were very good. Schneider probably is top 5. - ClarksonDavid
They were actually right about Schneider, I'm surprised lol. |

I bet Edmonton really wishes they got him at that draft when Vancouver traded him, Canucks didn't want him in the division though. |

Right-o.
I'm hoping to not look like a twat if Stamkos doesn't sign with the Leafs.
If he does, I'll have plenty of material to use against the rest |

Funny thing is.. EDM had a Vezina trophy candidate. That franchise is so stupid they don't trade for some defense. |

He's right though, I've noticed the same thing for years, Dion will not lay down to block a shot. - sloppyseconds2
Blocking shots has changed. You are not supposed to lay down to block shots anymore - it's generally a stand tall with your legs together or down on one knee with one leg slightly sideways to cover more angles.
The only time a lay-down block is ever used is when you are very close to the player shooting - ie a forward covering the point. Even then it's a risky proposition if the D shooting the puck has enough room to side step around you. |

There are very very few goalies in the league that are true game-changers, consistently throughout an entire season; some can even do it every year (Price), but that's really the exception here and when you're the best goalie in the world, it's to be expected.
But when you have the next best thing, you should really hold onto it. Vancouver had two very good goalies, both consistent year-in, year-out, enough so that you can build a team around them, but they squandered that talent and really have nothing to show for it.
Very Leafy. Very "Canada's Team". |

Hard to believe that the Leafs are 1 point from the bottom of the league, yet only 6 points out of the playoffs almost midway through December. Holy Smokes.
And, with all the fire power, the Pens would not be in the playoffs, if they started today.
I don't think anybody would have predicted that.

My old dog and hamster hated each other. Dog spent at least half her life with a scar on her nose from getting too close to the cage.
When the hamster died, my mom, in a fit of eastern european morbid curiousity, decided to leave it out to see what the dog would do. Dog just went up to the hamster, sniffed it, and lay down looking at it... didn't try to eat it at all. Dogs have lots of respect for the members of their family unit.
Cats on the other hand would definitely eat you after they killed you. Because all cats are vicious murderous bumholes. - Feeling Glucky?
I think he means under extreme circumstances. Like you're both stuck in the house together. Not the moment you keel over you become a milk bone.
