There was also a dog in the house who was obviously the "eat the owner" mastermind. But the cats we're having none of it and told the dog no! That's disrespectful! And the cats stopped the dog from eating her and it died of hunger, all alone.
Also sure, maybe the cats did gnaw on her a bit.. but it was only as a last resort as they knew that's what she would have wanted.
