Leafs will still draft Chychrun. Or at least that's their target after Matthews I am quite sure. If Leafs can't draft Matthews, quite sure they intend to draft a D-man with 1st 1st rounder. Penguins first rounder maybe Nylander or Tufte (although bound to go to Florida) if they fall to that 15-22 range?

Not sold on chychrun, not impressing. He hasn't improved from last year. His stock is dropping.


There is zero chance nylander makes it close to late teens /early 20s for the pens pick. He's top ten for sure.

I would avoid deBrincat.
He's just too small. 5'7.
Typical kid that can excel in Jr on a line with Strome, but wouldn't translate even close that success in the NHL against 6'0-6'5 defenders.

So Finland is considering scrapping social programs and giving everyone like $1200 a month, without looking into it too much, why wouldnt Canada also look into this? Every single person would benefit, even if ya make dump trucks of cash, you can use it for tax purposes, no welfare, no ODSP, no child tax credits. No paying for the infrastructure and wages etc.

i'm looking forward the leafs getting a 2nd, 4th and a 2017 3rd at the trade deadline.

if the pens make the playoffs, the leafs would essentially have 2 full draft years in 2016; also would be nice to see them recoup one of the 3rd round compensation picks.
