Funny how the Leaf fans accuse us of being obsessed with them yet look who's here.

LUcic with two goals today ( 9th) . Looks like he could be on his way to a twenty goal year. |

I must say, if there's one thing that cheers me up as a Canucks fan it's the fact that our rebuild is already more on track than the leafs - neem55

Bibeau and Sparks may be the best Leaf tandem in the last two decades. Thoughts? - VANTEL
Who knows. Goalies are such a hard thing to predict. Bernier got a shutout last night...in the ahl |

Yes he's been terrible. That being said he should be brought back and made number one asap. #tanknation |

It fine . We are use to having our throwaways show up on the Leafs roster now. I just am going to have trouble maybe next year with Hamhuis there but looking forward to seeing Higgins there in two years. |

No thanks to both. What happened to Hamhuis? His game seems to have taken a dramatic decline |

Well you have Kadri up the middle and Bozak (which I think speaks for itself). You have Dion Phaneuf at 7 mil per year for another six (which, again, speaks for itself). You do have Morgan Rielly, but your D corps is one of the few in the league that is worse than ours. I like McCann and Horvat up the middle and the fact that the Sedins are role models. I look at the leafs role models (I'm not sure who they are ? Phnaeuf ) |

So what if Edler is better than Hamonic right now? By the time we will be ready to compete, Hamonic will be better than Edler. Edler is already part of the past that we need to move past thinking of the future. - Retinalz
It was about value, Edler for Hamonic straight up sure, but the Calgary guy suggested we may need to add...I say no way. |

Kadri may be part of the rebuild but bozak isn't. You're also conveniently missing William Nylander and Mitch Marner from your comparison |

Neither are big enough to play center and play what is known as "wing", which is why they are absent. But yes when it comes to undersized and very talented, you've got us. Though don't count Shinkurak and J.Subban out
Bozak is on the roster and thus is part of the rebuild (your denial aside). |

I've also noticed you've ignored the role models portion... Not a Phaneuf fan?
Phaneuf=Sbisa, 7mil>3.5. I'll take it. |

And Demko and Virtanen.
I'd say that right now we are close to equal in terms of depth of prospects, however I think that we have a better team now and will move on from the twins in 3 years and you will move on from your captain in 7.
To will get a better draft pick them us until the twins retire so unless we trade vets for picks in a year or so Toronto will then be farther ahead. |

Maybe in the off season you can get a straight across but right now they are asking way too high ...they asked for Brodie from Calgary |

He's on the team until his contract is done. He wont be part of the team moving forward. As for the size thing that is your opinion. I'm not comparing them but Tyler Johnson is undersized and plays centre and neither mccann or horvat are huge. Nylander has been playing centre all year in the ahl. And marner plays centre in junior but granted that is junior. We will have to wait and see I guess
Edit: Nylander is only an inch shorter than mccann and horvat |

Ugh. Don't remind me about Dion. Although he has been better this year for the most part. I agree the canucks are better than the leafs right now. It will be interesting to see what happens when the sedins are done. Do they have two years left after this one? |

For sure, to be fair though Bo has got a pretty bulky frame. Marner/Nylander have very similar skillsets and frames, but both are 5'10 or under while both Bo and McCann are 6 feet or over. So I'm not sure what you mean. I will grant you that all of them have yet to truly make it, I'd say Bo looks best out of the four right now but time will tell. Tampa doesn't play two small guys up the middle, it will be interesting to see what they do with KAdri/Marner/Nylander going forward. Granted if you win the Matthews bowl, this will change things significantly. |

Nylander is listed at 5'11", Horvat and mccann are listed as 6'0" but I digress. Like you said only time will tell. I think both mccann and horvat are good players for sure. I live in Victoria, most of my friends are van fans so I see a lot of games by default |
