Their owners make a poopload of money. And Maple Leaf achievements are chronicled heavily in a major canadian museum of ancient history. I guess that's kind of relevant.
- bloatedmosquito

Money is relevant, the money MLSE makes isn't relevant to me. Just like kids today not knowing who the Beatles are, the history of the Leafs in b&w means less and less in a league of 30 teams.

What have you done for me in the modern era?

But hey, if TSN and Sportsnet report it, it must be important to somebody in Toronto..

Just waiting on that Stamkos update.

Do you mean the coach playing miller extensively and yet the suits in the offices talk change, youth movement, future, and markstrom in the same breath?
- bloatedmosquito

Pretty much. It also bothers me that they kept saying they make room for youth if they were capable of out playing vets. There are a few guys, like Grenier, who could benefit from the roster spot that Higgins is currently occupying

I thought we were playing Boston, why all the leaf poop in here. I think I'll avoid this poop hole today.

Have a good day gents and Carol.

Then WD can put Shink and Pedan on fourth line and bench Gaunce again for scoring.

Remember when the kid line scored 9 points and WD broke them up next game

okay, we found out who plays well together, lets see who doesn't play well together and address that problem.

I can understand in game, lines and such, but does WD choose who gets called up or is it JB? How they can't be tempted to play Pedan when guys are playing soft and aren't clearing the front of the net is mind boggling.

Maybe it is really WD tanking for Mathews? How else do you explain his moves

If there is one thing we have learned, it’s not just the players who have a hard time adjusting to the NHL.

All I did was say I hope Marchand and Burrows fight cause I hate both of them. I didn't mention Toronto or the leafs and definitely didn't come to start another pointless Vancouver/Toronto fight. Enjoy your game tonight

Embrace the suck, lets petition JB to make these trades happen(one side or other may need to add in each)

To NYI: Edler
To Van: Hamonic

Van gets a younger dman who wants to be out here. NYI gets a similar Dman who has more playoff experience and still in prime to help with cup push. Edler has to be willing to waive ofc.

To ANH: Hamhuis + 3rd (could be 2nd if needed)
To Van: Shea Theodore

To Whomever it may concern: Vrbata
To Van: 1st rounder from a contending team.

I watched a video yesterday about Puck Daddy's top 5 rats in the game. Marchand was # 5 and Kesler #1. Then he said it could have easily went to his former linemate Burrows but he was too busy biting people

"All I did..."?

You know marchand is a sore point with us. It was a jab and you know it.

I don't understand many of them. I think he is trying to insulate the kids to a certain extent lack of depth is likely the biggest factor.

and I don't understand the reluctance to try different players from Utica in Vancouver. Grenier looked okay for his call up. Gaunce was fine too. Pedan didn't get much ice time, but playing forward, he was fine for that limited role.

But with Grenier and I guess Pedan, these guys are getting older, getting their pro games in the ahl, aren't they going to be waiver eligible soon? Wouldn't it be nice to see them get their feet wet with the big club to see if they have a future with the franchise rather then be afraid to play or expose them to waivers and still not know if they are ready or are just in limbo in the AHL?

I trust that if these trades were doable Benning would have them signed by now

Edler is very under-appreciated for what he does in Vancouver. Just because Hamonic is more physical and fights doesn't mean by any stretch of the imagination he's better than Edler.....because he's not!

But I would trade Tanev for Hamonic.

Edler may not be willing to waive yet.
Anh may be waiting for TDL to make their moves, make sure they are in playoff picture before making moves.
Teams may be waiting to see if Vrbata can turn it around before buying on him. could also be a tdl move only due to cap situations.

Trading Miller before Markstrom proves himself makes us one step closer to being the Oilers, we don't want that!!!

Ever....

If The Canucks were trying to increase available Vrbata's trade value, you'd think they would have him playing with the Sedins

I think you'd have to sweeten the deal for harmonic ... Edler is a good top 4 guy but he just seems to brain cramp from time to time and it's always in the most unopurtune times ...and harmonic is the flavour of the month and overvalued right now

At this point I'd say they're obviously still trying to win and make the playoffs, which isn't out of the question, not increase players trade value....they haven't given up on the season yet, nor should they.
