So this is it hey, this is what it feels like to have a poopty team, it's awful, I'd forgotten how bad it tastes it's been so long. Oilers and Leaf fans have suffered tremendously
- LeftCoaster

It sucks man.. Marner and Nylander make it easier.. look forward to world Juniors more than anything this year

Luongo didn't want to be a Leaf , he would not waive
- VANTEL

That's not what I heard at all. I was told it was Nonuts that tried to handcuff MG with the salary retention last minute. Pretty reliable source too...not like Ek...

Nylander looks to be an excellent choice, but I'm not sold on the Marner kid, he's just so small and he weighs a buck 60

Tremendously skilled but he'll have to play wing IMO in the National Hockey League. Jared McCann is a legit 6 feet tall and 175 lbs, he's getting his ass handed to him in the physical department and he doesn't have the strength to win draws, I think he's 14% on faceoffs.

Hopefully McCann fills out in the next couple of years because he's a really good young player.

Botchford has said he was at the table at the draft , the deal was done and Lou said no. He has told that story publicly a few times. Lu wanted Fla

Leafs seem to have drafted well last year...
- ClarksonDavid

They have and the Leafs and Oilers suckage will end eventually. Chiarelli is a make things happen guy and Babcock has brought some structure to the Leafs finally. They are going to be pretty good teams in a few seasons. Maybe meet in the cup finals??

there were two times the leafs came close. one was before the lockout. they had the frame work of a deal that included Lu and Kadri, but the leafs said no because they wanted to see how the landscape would be after the lockout..... when that was settled they pulled that offer. The 2nd time they came close was at the trade deadline and the leafs tried to get the canucks to retain a pretty big chunk of salary.

Marner is like 5'11 I think, doesn't weight much but if he plays at 5'11 180 that's not that bad and one of his biggests assets is he doesn't get hit.. idk he has to be in the nhl next year either way, they can't send him back. He will probably be a winger I agree

still a couple of more years of the Sedins. Hopefully the young guys are ready for prime time when the sedins retire.

part of me hopes the young guys can develop quickly, would be great to see the sedins have one more kick at it after all they've done for this organization

Get outta ur highchair. Old saying cannot fix stupid applies to u.
Ur dialect of English leaves much to be desired.

I straight up have no idea what this guys is saying. If you're looking for confirmation that the leafs will continue to suck due to their lack of d, goaltending and centers, you have it. Take the time to use full sentences and words, I've known a lot of people old and young, they would all be embarrassed at that lack of grammar.

He writes in the same form as poems? Whenever he seems to finish a sentence he hits enter and starts another just like a poem reads. Which is strange

I wonder if he knows you don't have to hit enter or return after every period or that there's these things called paragraphs?

My big issue with the leafs, and I;m a bit of a broken record here, is that Nylander/Marner/Kadri are all kind of similar players and I'm not sure how they all fit. That and other than Morgan Rielly, your d/goalie situations is pooched.

I was looking at the Ottawa Senators recent draft record, it amazes me how many of the Leaf fans were calling out the Sens over the past two years and yet here they are doing fairly well again.

Look at their drafting;

2005 - two players with over 100 games, five in total played in the NHL.
2006 - three players with over 100 games, four in total played in the NHL.
2007 - zero with over 100 games but one with 63 games.
2008 - four players with over 100 games, six in total played in the NHL.
2009 - three players with over 100 games, five in total played in the NHL.
2010 - one player out of four picks played over 100 games.
2011 - two players with over 100 games, six in total played in the NHL.
2012 - one player with over 100 games.
2013 - Curtis Lazar with 90 games currently.

That's incredible considering none of those picks were top five!! That's 17 players they produced in nine draft classes with more than 100 NHL games, which is the excepted threshold for a quality NHL'er. Compare that to the Canucks.

The Canucks have produced FOUR players in the same time-frame with over 100 games of NHL experience.

CBJ are selling low too. Wasn't he playing fourth line?

I think there are a few teams ready to trade. NYI STL SJ. ANA NJ MYL PITT PHI CBJ

We have two years to figure it out. We have Sutter Bo and MCCann , it's not like there is a black hole there.

Vrbata would look nice beside Cindy Crosby, but I'm not sure they have any chips we need? They have a serious hole on the backend from trading all their good young dmen so I don't see anything there.
