And if you're skating around like a goof and then shoot towards the net just because you no longer have a play, that helps those stats does it not?
- Venom.

it would count +1 yes.

but you have hundred or thousands of these data points over the season for all the players.. If he was doing that all the time like you said it will bear our..

he also has around 100 shots on net..its been looked at they are not all 100 footers.

He gets shots and other players on the ice with him get more shots than without...you can decide they are worthless I guess

meh, for a guy we got for free, he had a couple good seasons with the Kessel.

I'm not saying he's perfect, but 1 could argue that he's not getting the ice, same argument people had for Kadri the last couple years.

3rd in TOI/G among fwds.

I'm not saying he's an AHL'er, I just have no love for him is all. 3rd maybe 2nd liner on his best day.

meh, makes some look better than they are

makes some look worse than they are

IMO

Just like Kadri's 1st wrist shot from the blue line last night...wasted opportunity, it should count as a negative...but I don't believe it does?

there is cherry picking examples and confirmation bias.. we all do it.
i like stats also because it takes that away.

Right now Naz is playing like poop. Though he had a couple puck carries in the third where he looked like the player I believe he can be.

Well I'm sure if we go over the tapes 25% or more were pretty much useless shots unless he's shooting against Bernier.

But to each their own, I like to watch the games and the plays that are happening at the time...crummy shots/ or bad bounces / bad pass, I don't bother looking at the data...as it's not even close to being perfected...and with a sport as fast as hockey with the bounces and bad luck/good luck...I'm not sure they will ever be worth as much as they are putting into them. IMO

He's on the ice with Komajesus...he's the one creating the shots.

he's playing the best hockey of his career.. just not scoring

and that will come around

in truth.. in the last 180mins of hockey the leafs have only scored 4x as a team.. and 3 were against the oilers.. and one of those 3 was by kadri

so in the last 3 games, kadri has scored 25% of the goals for the leafs

I'm not cherry picking any stat...I'm just watching the game and how he gave away a prime scoring opportunity to pad his SHOT's on net stat.

Obviously he makes some real good plays too...I think he's our best C and I don't need to look at shot attempts (any stats ) to see it. I think if he had less shot attempts he'd be having a lot better year.

Not trying to fight...just how I see it.

Not the last 3-5 games he isn't. Bruce, I've stuck up for Naz all seasons...its not the points I'm looking for, its the number of flybys or disconnected joystick moments I've noticed from Naz the last 3-5 games.

I'm guessing Babcock has noticed it too as his icetime has been coming down. only 16 minutes each of the last two games.

Most C's are only as good as the wingers they play with.

He went from a offence only Kessel to A Hobbit and a winger who plays like a 3rd defenceman. (Matthias)

the game against the jets was bad... dont even think he got a shot in that game

looked a bit better last night tho.. i am still standing by that by the all star break.. he is going to be a force.. learning how to be hockey player finally.

lil 1 or 2 game dips arent bad.. so long as they dont extend into 5 or 6 game dips
