I'm wondering what are your thoughts on Kadri.

Kadri is worse imo. Yes he gets chances (which is the only thing people point to), but only after 5 failed attempts. He never passes when he should and tries to make a move and fails. It's starting to get painful to watch.

So, if you think Bozak can't make plays, Kadri would be much worse.

I have found that the cure for this seasons team being painful to watch is to watch a lot less

Kadri is a better possession player, dives like crazy so he draws a lot of penalties, and.. well that's it.

So yeah, he does more for the team than Bozak. That's not saying much though.

This is why I hate these advance stats crap. Possession in itself is useless. His possession is good because he holds on to the puck when he shouldn't. This also makes him draw penalties (I'll give him that), but it doesn't create much plays. The only thing it can create is a chance for Kadri (his chances). Which it does after too many failed attempts.

Maybe I'm harder on Kadri because he was a high pick and expect more, but it still confuses me how can the coaching staff let him do that over and over.

Oh poop, I just criticized Babcock.

He doesn't win any puck battles, he can't finish plays, and he has zero hockey sense. He wins faceoffs and scores in shootouts though. That's worth $4M a year.

He doesn't even make the roster on a contender.

1st shot last night was like he's on to the Corsi thing...shot attempts means bigger paycheck...Komo gives him a nice pass and he wrists from the blue line with nobody in front of the net if he waits a sec or 2 JVR is headed there.

we should note... that the goal against on the PP was a shot from the top of the circle...

but not the circle at center ice (just in case anyone STILL wants to defend Bernier)

Meh, I think he's a good playmaker...needs to play tougher, just like I said about Holland...Holland used to hit a guy just for the score sheet...now since he's been back from the benching...he hits the guy with some UMPH. IMO

I think you hate them because I dont think you understand what its telling you.
if you are talking about Corsi/Fenwick as Possession (which it sounds like you are not), it measures shot attempts while you are on the ice whether you take them or your line mate.

What you are saying does not make a lot of sense.

Not so much anymore because everyone is terrible but I've never seen someone miss SO many tap-ins than when he played with Kessel.

Also, Bernier for Mike Smith? You know because they're both awful and why not.

meh, for a guy we got for free, he had a couple good seasons with the Kessel.

I'm not saying he's perfect, but 1 could argue that he's not getting the ice, same argument people had for Kadri the last couple years.

And if you're skating around like a goof and then shoot towards the net just because you no longer have a play, that helps those stats does it not?

meh, makes some look better than they are

makes some look worse than they are

IMO

Just like Kadri's 1st wrist shot from the blue line last night...wasted opportunity, it should count as a negative...but I don't believe it does?
