No, I'm not retarded like our Prime Minister is.
And Hall has not been consistent enough since he entered the league to be considered an "elite" player. Last year was proof when there was a lot of talk about him being possibly moved. - newmy

to me these 4 guys are in a tier above the rest (alphabetically):
Benn
Hall
Ovechkin
Patches - Tumbleweed
I believe they had a segment on top left wings during the intermission of one of the Oilers games the past week or so. I think they went with most points since 2013-2014 and it went:
1. Benn
2. Ovie
3. Patches
4. Sedin
5. Hall
If they would have went back to 2012-2013 it would have been:
1. Ovie
2. Benn
3. Hall
4. Sedin & Patches tied

Actually, We've only been dead last at season end twice . 2010 and 2011. - Jeropotato
I think its been 3 times dead last and a couple times 29th and a couple times 28th. It's Matthews this year, who are you picking first overall in 2017? |

Nope. Columbus was dead last in 2012...we drafted 7th or 8th in 2013, 3rd in 2014 and we were in 27th in 2015. So, you are wrong, piss off, blah, blah, blah,....(frank) off, etc. |

Hall is top 5 in LW since 2012. He is an elite player and a top 10 LW in the league. |

Definitely taking any post by this site with a grain of salt but if Ryan Nugent Hopkins is going to get traded the Predators better get in the conversation.
The timing might not be great mid-season for a trade that would probably include Jones but Nuge might be the best option for the Preds barring Johansen, Stamkos, or Kopitar somehow leaving their respective teams (for whatever reason) which I, personally, do not see. |

I would think that would be the deal.
Just a thought: with the Oilers being lacking in grittier forwards up front would a package deal including Smith and Ellis fly or do you think Chiarelli would only go for Jones? Keep in mind Ellis is probably going to be a top 3 guy who can take on top line minutes when it is all said and done. |

Yup. I'll be volunteering in the soup line at the homeless shelter later, and then having a few beers with a broad I think is allright. |

I think it's gotta be centered around Jones. Ellis is a great Dman on a great contract, but I have a tough time seeing him leading this D corps to any semblance of success. Jones brings the potential for more that I think Ellis has gone and passed. If they're looking for a gritty forward or two (which I'm pretty sure they are), I imagine they make that move using a guy like Eberle or the 1st. |
