Reinhart has done a nice job with ROR and Kane but yes, you could put Ennis up on that line and slot Reinhart down with Eichel. Lots of flexibility. - mhp
I don't think you mess with the 9-90-23 line at all right now. That line is picking up steam and they are all starting to click together. I like Mcginn with Eichel i thought they worked well together, i dont mind Gionta or Moulson being the other guy with those two but not both of them with Jack. I don't know where Ennis fits right now..... not on the top line(again don't mess with the chemistry) and i don't know if i want his suckiness to carry over to Eich. Tough call. |

I know everyone bangs on Gionta.
But,
can someone tell me anything that Moulson is good for?
When I watch him play,
he makes me want to drink bleach. |

I think that it's just on the ice time Gionta is getting compared to Moulson.
Moulson was riding the pine in the 3rd last night while Gio was playing every other shift

I think most would agree, but maybe he is a shootout specialist? - CoHo_to_B-Lo
I mean besides "Fathering" Eichel right now I grow weary of watching this guy get knocked on his candy ass time after time after time.
While guzzling bleach I am also digging my eyeballs out with a rusty fork watching this guy.
I just can't take it anymore, yikes! |

He at least goes to the net though, which is more than we can say for quite of few of the guys on the roster right now. He's the type of guy that gets his goals in the dirty areas.
In general though, I don't know why everyone is complaining so much. This team is miles better than last year. Sit back and enjoy watching the team develop. |

Goals are being scored now, so that complaint is gone, so it's time to find other things to be angry at (no offense HH, it's not just you - I'm in the Gionta Annoyance Group, so I have my complaints) |

Moulson has 11 points, good for 4th on the team. I don't think he's great be he is
a) Not taking a roster spot from anyone. Who do we have waiting in the wings that, because of Moulson can't play? Schaller?
b) Not a cap concern. Sabres have 8 Million in cap space and his 4 million is not holding us back from anything at the moment.
c) Not the reason we let in 4 goals and not the top or even in the top 5 reasons this team is losing.
Moulson is also my least favorite player on the Sabres but to act like he's the reason we're losing games is a joke. |

I love watching this team play. And yes they are MUCH better, don't have to much to complain about. Except Gionta playing so much. We can complain about that becuase its not like its something that can't be avoided.... i just don't get why Disco Dan has a hard hat... i mean hard on for him. |

Just saw that. Point still stands.
Also, I'm all for signing Risto right now. As it stands, 4 defensemen are signed for next year: Bogo, Gorges, Franson, Pysyk. McCabe, Risto are RFA. Weber and Carlo are UFA. Assuming Weber and Carlo leave, and McCabe and Risto are retained, that leaves us with 6 with 2 of them being Gorges and Franson. Are we okay with that?
Might need to look for a defenseman. |

No I get it.
And I certainly agree with Goose as well.
I just was watching him again last night, watching him so easily get knocked on his ass and I could just feel my blood pressure rising.
Maybe I am just fixating on him unfairly lately, not 100% sure but it is a possibility. |

Gionta has this year and next. This year I don't like it but I'm eh, whatever. Next year I have expectations. I like him on the team, don't like more than 12 minutes of ice time for him. |

If you want a player that needs to step it up, (and maybe started doing so yesterday) it's Zemgus. Until yesterday he's had a really difficult, to the point of being a really bad year.
Him and Ennis, understanding Ennis has been "injured" were able to perform in a systemless system and need to change to work with Dan's or they might not last here. |

hey how about Risto. Man he's really developing into a top Offensive Dman. He's now among the top 10 NHL D men in points.

I don't know who organized this, there aren't enough Coyotes fans to do this, so I hope it gets done. I want an All Star Game fight.
Can you get suspended for what you do during the All Star Game? Has it ever happened? Let's see it happen. |

Anyone else find it struggling for Eichel to find wingers. Dont get me wrong Gionta and those slap shots are not the answer. But he's been trying to carry the load himself lately.
Also Mouls hasnt been flashy but is slowly picking up points - yen6d1
Jez, don't say that in here...Eichel is the 2nd coming here...even though he is a rookie making rookie mistakes such as you indicated, he is God and does no wrong!
Seriously now, you are an astute evaluator of effort and results.
The kid is making rookie mistakes by trying to do too much...but he will learn..trial through fire..I trust the coaching staff is coaching him properly and trust his game will come around. He needs to really watch ROR on both sides of the puck.
When he has it...draw 2 defenders to him with his skills...then learn to dish more to his wingers...when they can't convert...that will show up and then the coaches need to address their game as well.
I have confidence, as I'm sure you do as well. |
