Ryan Oreilly is not a natural goal scorer,he should not be in the shootout. Secondly what is bylsma thinking with playing Gionta 20 minutes a night. He shouldn't even be in the NHL. He is old ,slow and to small for being old and slow

At least put him on the 3rd line, if nothing else.

I have to say that Abdelkader is everything I hope Larsson would be.

He's a total slightly dirty POS who can also score.

Every team needs one of those.

- kingcong39

Larsson is a boarderline NHL player he will not be an Abdelkader or anyone close to that.

I knew I should have put a d after the word hope.

If the team is lucky, one of Fasching, Carrier, Bailey, or Baptiste will be that player for them down the road.

While I don't think he should be anywhere on the top 2 lines, he's nowhere near slow

Agreed, I'd love to have a guy with an edge who can score.
Kane displayed that tonight, best game of the season for him...wasn't taking those crazy shots from way out turning the puck over.

I agree, while he probably has lost a little from last year just due to natural aging, the team as a whole is much faster, so relatively speaking he's slower. A few times when he's been on the ice in OT he looks to be the fastest/freshest guy out there.

Which is nuts since he's getting so much (too much) TOI in the game, not like he's a 7 minute guy and rested.

His speed impresses me, and the guy can work, but his skill is mostly gone - at least to the point of being a contributing factor to a top 6 role.

I watched the last half of regulation and all OT and shootout. The only time I heard or saw Moulson was the shootout, and he missed. To me , roster spots taken up by Moulson and Gio are wasted. I really want to like Moulson, but.....(crickets).

He's better than Myers will ever be and it won't even be close.

This!!! Myers somewhere down the line he just got akward. Big dude with a hard shot yet he played like sekera. Always rushing up the ice and going below the faceoff dot in the ozone instead of laying back and firing slappers from the point and with his reach he should have never given up the blueline unchallenged.

Anyone else find it struggling for Eichel to find wingers. Dont get me wrong Gionta and those slap shots are not the answer. But he's been trying to carry the load himself lately.

Also Mouls hasnt been flashy but is slowly picking up points

I think Eichel is trying to figure out how to be effective at the pro level right now. Things came pretty easy to him right off the bat, but with the much more rigorous schedule and the higher level of competition, he's got to figure out a few things.

The standing around that some people pointed out probably has a lot to do with the amount of games they've played in, for him, a relatively short period of time. He's got to learn when to go all out and when to conserve his energy and how exactly to do that and still be effective.

At the very least, get Gionta off Eichel's line. I'd move Girgs up there on the wing until Ennis gets back. I would also consider putting McGinn at LW with Eichel.

I agree with this 100% also looking at the goals he has scored- all elite shots(besides NJ) allows him to realize his talent does work. Only wish is that he'd get into the dirty areas more

Some might not like McGinn on the 2nd line but with him and Girgs, they can go into the dirty areas, fight for the puck and create chances for Eichel. Moulson and Gionta don't do that.

Reinhart has done a nice job with ROR and Kane but yes, you could put Ennis up on that line and slot Reinhart down with Eichel. Lots of flexibility.
