1C for a 1w + 5d. Based on where both teams should end the season, the picks are almost a swap. Islanders 1st pick will be 21-30, cbj's 2nd round will be 31-40.
I would think the prospect dman would go the other way as an add in.

Johanssen is the best player in the deal, which makes the isles a winner even though they are, on paper, giving up to much to get him.

If some other team can pry Hamonic out of Long Isla---Brooklyn, I would be thrilled to see Edmonton swap Eberle +2016 2nd, Yakupov and Reinhart, or our 2016 1st and 2nds for him.....I would rather not deal with those insufferable Islanders fans on here at all.

With the respect that is owed to Hamonic by the Isles organization; the only way this gets done is as a TRUE 3 way deal. Snow would not allow a trade that would put Travis in a worse situation than he is in now. As far as "top prospects" going to Columbus; I think that is a stretch. With Columbus getting Okposo and a first round pick plus what ever Calgary adds for Travis, that is more than they could possibly hope for since Johansen has only one more year on his contract and he becomes an RFA which means he is of little more value than Okposo especially if the Jackets sign Okposo long term.

I think Johanson is going to be a special player in this league...Hamonic is very good....but is a special player?

Is Columbus a club Hamonic is willing to go to?

I love the idea of trading for a potential linemate for JT even though he is a center. However trading away Hamonic without receiving a player that would help our defense is a scary proposition. I'm out

The thing about Hamonic and Okposo is it's not like a team is having to pry them out of an Islanders uniform, not saying they aren't great players. But given that Hamonic wants the trade, and Okposo is gone in the summer, no ones going to pay an arm and a leg for em. That said packaged together you should get a nice return.
