Engelland is not the problem with this team. Hiller gave them no chance tonight.

Hiller's also not the problem. Part of the problem sure, but the entire team just isn't very good.

Hiller is a problem though just like Talbot has been with us...if your goalie plays like that its very hard to win games...goalies gotta make a save for their team

Hiller was awful. The Flames were done on the 2nd goal. And he let in two more softies just to make sure.

Jakob Chychrun it is!

Why would you want another D?? We went all in practically on D last draft. Why not a big scoring winger like Laine or Puljujarvi. And uh, there's some kid named Matthews. He sounds pretty solid.

Andersson and Kylington seem like solid projects but Chychrun is a Monahan-style home run?

Watched Puljujarvi at the U-18's and he looked great but still quite behind Matthews and Tkachuk.

We obviously take Matthews if we can but it doesn't seem like we'll get 1st pick unless we beat the odds in the lottery.

What are your HONEST opinions of Kris Russell.

We're not GMs on the phone making the deal and no biased opinion of every aspect of his game and what you would want for him.

interested in getting your take.....

I'd like to see him resigned but if that doesn't happen, I think a 2nd round pick would be a good return. Realistically, he's a 5/6 who can sub into the top 4.

if they're picking top 4 there's no reason they should take a dman, their biggest need in the organization is a big scoring winger and this draft has plenty at the top of it

I'm assuming we will pick 2nd as the donkeys to North of us will be picking 1st. And if so I believe you take the best player available, that would be JC. Now if for some reason we get 1st of course it's AM. Now if we finish 3, 4 or 5 then yes we take a big winger. No way in hell do you leave either of AM or JC on the table.

He's a decent 3rd pairing D man but he's prone to making a lot of mistakes or bone head moved. The reason he has so much blocked shots is because when he's on the ice the puck is mostly in our zone.
I'll be happy if we trade him for a pick or prospect be because Calgary will need some extra cash to resign JG and Mony.
