or maybe get this, the coach doesn't think he is good enough. - rinaldo
This is the same coach who put Manning on the 2nd PP, Gudas and PEB out in OT, and White on the ice when the goalie was pulled?
I don't mind that he spit-balls, but now it's time to get Medvedev back in the lineup. I'm not even particularly worried about winning at this point - though it would be nice to go on a run - but rather showcasing a possible TDL asset. |

I wonder how long before Medvedev begins to regret his decision to come here. If it hasn't happened already. |

They'd be asking for Ghost/Sanheim/Prov + a 1st - PVL29
They would expect the same package we'd expect for Giroux. Giroux is a little more seasoned but Johansen is younger and still has upside. Has nice size too. Like us, they'd need a potential #1 center coming back.
It's not really a good fit.
Then again, Ek hasn't said anything about it so the probability goes up exponentially. |

I'm not really sure if I should root for the Isles tonight, or if I want to see them get lit up by the flyers to put another nail in the coffin of jack capuano. even when the isles win this year it's not a 60 minute effort and they're sloppy as hell. No urgency, no accountability. I'd rather miss the playoffs and have the whole staff cleaned out than get bumped in the 1st round again watching the team underachieve all year with fred flintstone behind the bench.

Right now the Kootenay Ice wouldn't get lit up by the Flyers. |

Does Giroux = Johansen? - Streit2ThePoint
More or less, yes. Johansen is younger, bigger, has a 30-goal season under his belt, and has a cap hit of $4M through next year. His career path is very similar to Giroux's so far (Giroux broke out for his 93-point season when he was Johansen's age). Also, he's Columbus' top-line center. So, yeah, pretty much. |

37 Brian Strait - 50 Adam Pelech
This seems like a pairing the flyers need to target and have success against in order to win. - Feanor
FYI, Zidlicky is back in for Pelech. So enjoy your shorthanded breakaway goal. |

Ok. Given the package has the 2016 first which the Flyers will most likely be in the top 5-8, yes.
But then again, who knows, right? |

We are almost two months into the season. If he's still a healthy scratch by New Year's, I'd say that would probably about do it, in terms of ratcheting up the "WTF" factor with what's going on with Medvedev.
They gave him $3mil, so it's not like they took a flier on a guy that maybe was miscast in the KHL and gave him a contract like PEB's. Obviously, there were/are some expectations of the guy. |
