I still think the Flyers finish around the same place as last year. I just think theres a legit chance they finish with one of the 3 worst records.

I'm all about that positive regression. They are due. But I'm starting to think they won't be due for all that much. They have legit problems from a system standpoint that has me wondering if there will be much of an uptick besides the occasional bounce.

In other news, Jake had the worst possession game I've ever seen from him. Flyers had 13 even strength shots. And the Coots line is the greatest non scoring possession line I've ever seen. (frank)ing hunky dory

I'm quite ok with that. Obviously this group isn't working. I'm good moving on from Streit, Schultz, Read, Umberger and Luke being he is a UFA and I can't see him re-signing over the next two seasons.

I'm okay with the team doing poorly; I don't want to see individuals do poorly. No way -- even last year career years were had. I don't want to see career lows.

Funnily enough, I could easily see the team improving when it sells its players.

Turns out one just got scratched up a bit. The other one took quite the beating around the ears and neck but will be fine in the long run. Now I awkwardly get to bring a $500.00 bill to my neighbor on Thanksgiving. Not the first time this has happened with this dog so i really shouldnt care anyway. Wooo. God, I hate that owning pits is so trendy. 90% of people have no clue how to handle them.

Anyway, back to hockey. Sounds like I missed a real barn burner. Do I even want to ask how many ES goals we have this year and where we're ranked in that regard?

I agree about the regression. They generate shots, but they aren't good shots.

They're something like 6th in CF% and 20th in shots per game. Only Anaheim has a higher percentage of their shots blocked and a lower shooting percentage than the Flyers. That might change soon too.

I am not singling out any defender by name. They all have flaws, the Russian included

But I refuse to believe that the Russian is healthy and sitting so they can play these six guys every single night because they want to.

To answer my own question its 26 ES goals on the year. Which does appear to be dead last. (I couldn't pull up the stat for the Devils or Oilers for some reason)
