As long as Jimmy stays far away. Sometimes I think he is one of those dudes that would put an ice pack under a guys helmet and send him out to play.

They don't have a good trainer either?

Grey Cup is in Winnipeg. "Fall out boy" is the half time performer which says it all.

There is snow on the ground here and generally below freezing temperature so those brave souls better bring blankets to sit on.

Banff is a great place to visit. I've thought of swinging down to Philly for years just never really get down to it.

My one thing is this. I am a fairly outdoorsy guy. So while I would enjoy the Flyers game, and of course a day of checking out sites/food. After that am I stuck in a concrete jungle?

The idea of New York scares me. I'd be annoyed with all the people.

Pouliot got a 5 year $20 mil deal...that's a far cry from the 3 year $7 mil number we are bandying about. Or Fayne's 4 year $14 mil deal. That hypothetical contract isn't in the vicinity of those. In fact it'd be smart cap management in comparison. If Raffl got a deal like that I'd agree with you, but he won't and we aren't suggesting to give him one
- Mononoke

Wasn't suggesting Raffl could command Pouliot money, just that the principle is the same. PA Parenteau at $1.5M or Pouliot at $4M for the same production, more or less? Raffl at $2.5M or say somebody like Cousins, or a UFA from Europe, or somebody off the scrap heap for a pittance?

With the poop contracts they're stuck with, every dollar is gonna have to count for this team moving forward.

Fair enough. I agree with you in theory, but if Raffl could be signed for fair value, nothing more, I'd be ok with that. He's not remotely close to irreplaceable, but he's also not so dime a dozen that he could be replaced with a scrap heap player or another European player. Possibly? Sure. But not a given. If he is resigned at fair value, for only a few seasons, that's a contract that won't impede anything imo.

IMO Raffl is a good deadline piece. There should be a playoff team out there with a need for him. Sell to the highest bidder

Why would you resign him though? Bottom line is he is a completely replaceable player in UFA, and they should get something for him this spring.

they all just need to tear their acl's... that rehab program works wonders i hear.

Even after all the detailed information about the limited time Ghost was actually unable to train, and the long period he spent working out six days a week to get his body ready for the NHL you still persist in embarrassing yourself by bringing it all back up.

Truly bizarre behavior.

Why? Because he's a good young player and he's not a completely replaceable player in free agency. They should only look to trade Raffl if they feel they can't come to an agreement.

He runs a pretty tight ship.

His collar is more open and relaxed than hers.

For anyone familiar with the show, and I actually really enjoy it.

He reminds me of Hank Hill.

27 which is what he'll be next week is not a young player in this league. He is a league veteran, like many other UFA's. Suggesting that a bottom 6 winger going into unrestricted free agency is not replaceable is one of the funniest things I've read on here in awhile.
