I was being a smart ass. Orr is the best player in the league's history.
- Mentalorgasm5

When the wind is in the right direction, I agree

the gap between wayne and orr is much smaller then that gap between number 2 and mario, messier or jagr

I think I'll drink a Riesling tonight for the game, between Woodbridge or Sutter Home.

Haven't really been on much lately so I am not sure how much this has been discussed. I am ready to move Ennis out. He's Max 2.0! I think with Reinharts play being as strong as it has it makes him expendable. Maybe for that coveted D-Man that grows on trees or for another top 6.

Am I being too critical?

Thoroughly enjoyed Heady Topper. Not quite Pliny level, but damn good.

Two reasons to keep him.
1) he usually starts slow and like others on the team is getting used to new linemates
2) no point trading him when his stock is low

Fair points. I'd give Ennis some time to work through his issues but I can see the Max 2.0 reference. He seems to be the object of fans ire at the moment.

My top 5

1. Orr
2. Lidstrom
3. Potvin
4. Bourque
5. Coffey

- mhp

1.Orr
2.Lidstrom
3.Bourque
4.Coffey
5. Potvin

And for poops and giggles...

6.Robinson
7.Pronger
8.Savard

Tho I'm probably missing some key players from the 60's, 70's and early 80's I know not enough about....curious where MacInnis, Stevens, Murphy, Leetch, Hously , Murphy and others stack up.

Just a thought...

The Stars are going to be good for a while, Lindy is going to have a nice run as coach there. He will have a nice win percentage and a lot of wins as a head coach and will go down as one of the best all time.

Eichel with two goals tonight.

I like it better. I'm a hop head. The east coast styles are all hops in front in comparison to the west. I actually like blind pig better than Pliny.

Finally a Sabres stream! But FiOS apparently throttles you, because coincidentally near the end of every month the internet suddenly slows down. And the streams get real choppy. And we're supposed to have 50 up and 50 down. So streaming 640x480 should be absolutely no problem.

That's just plain cruel.

That's almost as bad as all those poor bastards in the third world with "Buffalo Bills Super Bowl champions" attire.

I bet if you put a pair of skates on Orr today, he would fit in better with the sabres then mike weber
- homiedclown

You mean Orr as a whatever 70 something year old?

Edit: He's only 67. That's crazy I thought he was older.

I would think his stock is still high. Still 10 points and he has proven he could be a good player, even on a bad team. I do see the first point though for sure.

I dig that. I like a ton of malt, and Pliny for me nails that citrus hops finish like no other beer. It's a good problem, having to choose.

Good list. I'd consider Brad Park and Rob Blake in there as well. Many of the names you mention fit into that 10-20 category.

It's so tough with Defensemen....Blake was poopty defensively for years in LA, and was solid by the team he was an Avalanche...MacInnis wasn't that great defensively either u til he was older, but so deadly on the PP....seriously, Even the best of the best has some warts here or there....except Orr of course. He is above all criticism and we are as likely to see another one like him as we are to see another #99
