Also like that bit from Julius Caeser that we had to remember, but all I remember is "why, man he doth bestride the narrow world like a colossus something, something, something graves something, something, something."

Not the whole thing, just one of the paragraphs. I had to look it up, because I was getting annoyed. "Why, man, he doth bestride the narrow world
Like a Colossus, and we petty men
Walk under his huge legs and peep about
To find ourselves dishonourable graves.
Men at some time are masters of their fates:
The fault, dear Brutus, is not in our stars,
But in ourselves, that we are underlings."

Much better, even the guys in the AHL right now like Nylander are playing really well.

I'd take that over what i have to memorize now...

Adverse possession: possession must be actual in manner that dominates the property, the possession must be open and notorious so as to put a reasonably prudent owner on notice, the possession must be hostile to the original owner's claim to title, the possession must be continuous for the prescribed statutory time period, and it must be in a manner that demonstrates exclusive use and quiet enjoyment.......blah

We certainly didn't loose at this point, and if the Jets move Myers, less than a year after acquiring him, we're the victors.

keep waiting for him to come back to earth, but he continues to prove hes the real deal. big, powerful, great defensively and so talented.

him and hall are undoubtedly one of the best duos in the game right now.

now if only we could learn to start winning one goal games and fast forward our dcore a few years.......

Can't rule out Domi either but that 14 draft class is shaping up to be far better than i had ever imagined.

It's just my opinion but i think Eichel's been excellent so far. Can't really fault him for players not being able to finish. They need to get him a winger....and play him with someone not named gionta in 3 on 3.

for sure. domi was great against the oilers. one of the best players on either team.

and I keep hearing about that parayko kid from st.loo. cant say ive seen too much of him though.

as far as eichel, its probably better for his development to be winning games while maybe missing out on huge numbers than doing the opposite.
in fact, im sure of it.

for whatever reason, ive happened to see a few red wing games, and it just feels like this larkin kid is something special. a phenomenal skater and a nose for the net. hes gonna be a great one I bet. and getting to learn from datsyuk and Zetterberg probably doesn't hurt either

Parayko and Ullmark may end up in the conversation come spring

who would have thought with eichel and reinhart (skunk), ullmark may end up with most calder votes for a sabre this coming summer

So I got some scoop. Bogo was not out because he was in rehab, rather the Sabres players are unhappy with the medical staff. Both Bogosian and Kane had their own people coming in to check them out. Apparently the current staff aren't very good and some aren't even licensed to practice in New York.

Buffalo--Sabres

I really really really doubt that.

Pro sports teams go for best in their cities. I honestly think your just making stuff up here.

They don't all have to be licensed in New York. If they are licensed in the states I'm sure there's not much difference then being licensed in other big cities in America.

Reinhart skunk? He's actually played pretty damn well for regularly being on third line. When he's on the top 2 lines he always produces.

"In a crucial five-minute kill thanks to a boarding major by Tyler Ennis, Sabres in-game host Brian Duff pointed out that Bogosian skated 2:45 of it. And after the Blues scored just :34 into the major penalty, Bogosian had a shift of 1:45, took a :37 break then followed up with another :45 shift. St. Louis was held to only one goal."

i would be careful about that. after they scored the blues were lackadasical. most of the game minus a pp or killing penalties the blues again were just there not working very hard. a little in the third but mostly you saw a blues team just show up. they did it against columbus the other night even more so. the team is tired and has been missing a lot of players in a lot of games. a few players have been a bit over used and they are showing signs of exhaustion.

Omg man give credit when credit is due. The Sabres are playing good and have played great against two of the top four teams in the league. Injuries or not the Blues are still the 4th best team in the league. They've been without those players for awhile.

my take on Kane and Bogo:

Even if Kane only scores 5 goals for the year, his value cant be overstated simply because his speed is so unique to this team and so valueable. Our offense gets more exciting with him stretching the ice and getting the D turned around.

Bogo is also unique because he is our main physical presence back there. Every team needs at least one "hit first, ask questions later" D man that actually has some skill (unlike Weber for example) and he brings that. I see no reason not to call him a definite #2 D.

So to me, when evaluating us trading for them, we got 2 unique players that bring things Meyers, Staff and the other pieces we gave up simply don't have.

At the end of the year we can look at Corsi numbers and possesion %, but I feel fine that we got assets tht were much needed on this team out of that deal.

I'm waiting to judge all trades made last year until the end of this season, any assets acquired and played last year (knowing that Kane didn't) to me that time doesn't count. The season was lost no reason to play other than attempting to pick up a check. This year the mission is to get better. I'll judge that And since Bogo has played all of a couple of games its hard to tell, Kane started off well then got hurt but came back quicker than expected. I like that at least.

Give it a half year-year before you even begin to judge trade results.
