I am not a huge fan of Bogosian, but I think he is a physical defenseman, which we need, and he is a good second pairing guy. I do agree he has been on the ice for a disproportionate amount of the scoring chances we have faced in the last two games, but we need to give the guy a break, he is coming back from a long stretch of not playing, and he has been thrown into the fire with big minutes and big expectations.

There is no substitute for playing in real games to get your conditioning in check. I expect him to look better in a few more games when he is back into the swing of things.

My only guess as to why Franson is playing on the PK over Pysyk is because of his reach, and because Bylsma seems to give an inordinate amount of respect to the vets.

- SabresPanacea

Being injured has something to do with it and prior to his injury you're probably right, Franson is bigger and has more of a reach and more size than Pysyk. On the PK teams like to gain the zone and set up. It plays into Fransons game as he doesn't have to chase players around.

Yes, would of been a monster hit. But he missed and missed bad. Lucky he wasn't hurt.

That's what I was afraid of. Took it like a champ though.

His future is still somewhat uncertain -- two rival NHL teams have recently had internal discussions about trying to acquire him via trade, according to league sources -- but all Bernier is worried about is playing better.

Maybe TM wants to sell high on Ullmark? (hides)

Edit: not necessarily for Bernier, I mean in another trade (like they did with Armia)

I don't even think about getting rid of Ullmark if im GMTM. And he fits his mold of what he wants in a goaltender. No way he is going anywhere.

This wouldn't be getting rid of. This would be moving him as part of a bigger deal.

I like what I've seen from Ullmark so far. But let's not get too far ahead of ourselves either. He's played 8 games. Teams now have some tape on him and will look and see what his tendencies are and will begin to exploit any weak spot they find. That's not to say that he's not going to succeed, but we've yet to see if he can make adjustments to them figuring him out.

I'm not saying he is the next great thing, but to your point he has only played 8 games and with an injured defense, so no i would not move him. Could he be the next big thing? Yes. Could he stumble and when Lehner comes back we never hear of him again? Yes. But I like my chances with holding on to him and hoping he continues on the path that he is on now. Ill have to play a few seasons of NHL 16 to tell you how it all works out haha

Talk about timing... http://jetsnation.ca/2015...hamonic-and-zach-bogosian

"This comparison quite frankly surprised me. I expected Myers to come up ahead of Bogosian, or at least a bit closer. We do see Bogosian out performing Myers in much the same way as Hamonic, but not nearly to the same extent."

ullmark was injured on a poopty team last season

reality, he was not suppose to sniff buffalo til after this season

but he should be exceeding everyone's expectation

the kid has all the tools needed to thrive in the nhl

There are times where you question the positioning but that might come down to having very little pro experience.

Still, if a team comes knocking offering the D-man or RW you need and the cherry on top is Ullmark, hard to say no given that you've already invested in Lehner.

I'd move Ullmark in a massive trade, but a goalie has to come back

if we did a block buster with the ducks, I would want ritchie, fowler and either anderson or gibson

of course we would be giving a poopload back

That's what i was getting at though. If Ullmark was the final piece in a massive trade for player x and y then go after Bernier on the way cheap because his value is at an all time low.

Run a 1A/1B with him and Lehner.

A move like that would probably require ennis, girgs ullmark plus

and I am fine with that, larsson can anchor the third line
