Cant say I am a fan. I mean Raffl does not look like he should earn 3 mill a year. I am sure Schenn will get 4 mill like Coots did but you have to wonder if one gets traded. If Coots isn't going to show any signs of offensive prowess, there is no real need to keep him and Laughton. You can then explore a trade to bring back another young piece.

Schenn might get traded, he might not. It's more about showing how they can avoid a buyout of Lecavalier. The Flyers have depth at center, they could explore a trade. They have Couturier, Schenn, Laughton, Bellemare, White, and Cousins who can all play center.

Yea straka is earning a callup right now. From what I've seen he has many NHL qualities. Speed and a very quick snap shot. From the little I've watched of Martel. His 200ft game needs much work but if he can nail that part down he can up and be a pest with skill. He is scrappy

Straka played well in his call up, and he's been really good for the Phantoms. If the goal scoring woes continue, maybe he does get a call up. They don't have much to lose to see if he can be an effective NHLer.

I can't imagine why they won't then. He's getting up there in age as a prospect, he's on fire down in the Ahl, and he's scoring -- a lot. I think he'd be a better callup than Leier at this point. Not sure he's ready

Clearly Leier isn't particularly trusted along with anyone on that line. Hasn't been given ice time, but I also don't think he's been effective. He only has 1 year of professional experience, so it's justifiable, not an indictment on him.
