Reinhart and Moulson are the only two player with a positive +/-
- ImThatGuy

Kind of proves my point doesn't it? Easier competition+less minutes= higher +/- ?

So who has been the most disappointing to date ... Kane or Ennis?
Both had high expectations placed on them for this season as major contributors to the rebuild..slotted in top 3 for some. Both have underwhelmed to date.

For me, it is Kane - good hustle, battles well along the boards, flies on the ice. Puck hog and taking low-chance shots are definately hurting his game...and he hasn't shown a tremendous ability to finish (yet, hopefully).

All of the same can be said of Ennis, perhaps it is because I have seen him play well in a Sabres jersey that I tend to give him a slight edge.

None the less, neither is pulling their weight especially in the goal scoring department.

History would say that this is just a slump for ennis. Hes been one of the most consistant players for us the past few years. I think Kane has always left something to be desired in the goal scoring department. I do think both will settle down and start scoring though.

Wouldn't really consider STL easy competition... And he played the 2nd line.

He was on the 2nd line with Kane, and Eichel. He wasn't playing against STL scrubs.

Yea, last night. I was referring to his +/- on the year. Im not saying he can't or shouldn't play there, just that the stats may not necessarily go up with increased ice time because he'll be playing against better players.

I think his ice time needs to come down a bit, that falls on the coach

I would go

kane-ror-eichel
moulson-skunk-ennis
mcginn-girgens-gionta

IMO that needs to be the top 9 before christmas

although foligno has done just as much to earn that third line ice time as gionta and mcginn

it's a numbers game

- homiedclown

I like this. First i have zero issues with Jack's defense at the moment but putting that speed on the wing, reducing his defensive responsibilities could help our offensive output

On Tampa and Winnipeg

I am hearing the Lightning have talked to Winnipeg about a deal that would bring Tyler Myers to Tampa for a "young top 6 forward." What is a bit curious is Hamonic rumors involving Winnipeg could be tied to such a deal. The Jets would probably not be able to keep both Myers and Harmonic. I continue to hear the Isles best option is Winnipeg

Uh oh Myers could be turning into rubber. It seems like with certain guys once you get traded it never stops. His 6'8" size will make him trade bait for life.

Do we really want to though? He's clearly capable of playing a great two way game, most of his mistakes are ones you see in all rookies. Better off making them and learning from them now. I wonder if he's one of those players that just creates more chances when he's playing C because he's weird like that.

well if they were ever going to move him it would be this year. I believe he's got a NTC that kicks in at the start of next year.

Not for a lock, but ROR has been so good on the draws and down low id like to see jack riding shotgun with him for a little

Yea id love to see ROR with Eichel as well, just in reverse roles. Although i bet either way that will be a fun duo to watch.

I would think they would want to resign Byfuglien first.

Hamonic is good but where would the offense come from if they move Myers and lose Buff? Trouba has been pretty average this year

I agree my thinking would be they'd something around buff/hamonic so as to keep a solid d core without having to overpay

For sure, if ROR took draws and then slid to the wing that could work even better

Myers is only pace for 25 points or so. It's not like that's a ton of production they need to replace.

Ennis trying to do it all himself when he is playing with Eichel or ROR is what is frustrating the poop out of me.

We have seen him play complete hockey. I just hope he isn't one of those players who looks good on bad teams but can't piece it together with real line mates.

I said this about him last year.

This....Honestly both of them seem like they are letting the expectations that we all have creep into their heads. Both players have the ability to be electric, but both seem to be playing as if they are trying to do too much

Kane seems like he is too worried about getting the 500 goals we all expected him to so he is rushing to shoot

Ennis is acting like we expect every single entry into the zone to be some crazy stickhandling magic that will get him free to leap through the air and score on the backhand

Like you said...they both need to calm down and play their game...the goals will come

I don't think ROR had 4 mins of Ice time in OT so this cannot be right either....
- CoHo_to_B-Lo

Again, power play time and ot are probably the reason for the confusion.

Just so there's no more confusion:

ennis, foligno, colaiacovo, ruhwedel and picks (not sure what is needed there) for fowler and ritchie
- homiedclown

I really dont want to move ennis for a number of reasons but IF we did trade him to anaheim i would almost prefer Ritchie over fowler. Ritchie could be a stud
