No problem back at you Mick, everyone has their opinions and my whole point is the secrecy just makes it worse. The press is going to be all over this like stnk on poop which just makes it more of a distraction to the team imho. - nyisles7

Him out there when his D line matches with 4th line would make other teams soil themselves.
On occasion, he could also move upto wing with JT when Johnny needs some protection or when we have a glut of Dmen.
EDIT: that'll never happen |

DISCLAIMER: THIS IS PURE SPECULATION...
So here's another theory..... I'm too lazy to research this, but isn't Hamonic the oldest of a few children? We know his father died when he was only 10, but I think he had younger siblings. Travis became the "man of the house" at that point. Maybe one of the kids needs more of a father figure around? Kids go through tough times under the best of circumstances, but without a father figure, it's even tougher. Who knows? Maybe one of his younger siblings is getting into trouble?

Let's hope for that. But when you have Hope in one hand and Sh!t in the other, it still stinks. - jmo16

I think may be a bastardization of a Burgess Meredith quote. Sounds like something he would say. |

When it comes to family people keep stuff close to the vest. He talked to his teammates today and I'm sure they all know what the deal is. Granted as fans we would like to know but you wouldn't tell strangers about your family situation so why should he? I lost my sister to cancer in August and I never mentioned it to anyone until the very end so they could pay their respects. It's a very hard thing to talk about with people you are very close to never mind the outside world. - Vukota

Here is a thought take the guy at his word, he has been from day one a stand up guy on and off the ice. He has done more for people in this area then most, and has laid out his own emotions in the process. I hate to lose him because of all of that and his play, but I will take him at his word, and give him a standing ovation when he eventually returns. Stop speculating, just cause he is a hockey player does not mean we have to know every detail of his private life. |
