I think Snow is asking for A LOT in return and its going to come down to one team just saying phuck it and over paying. Its a matter of who's gonna blink first.
- kindlyrick

Let's hope for that. But when you have Hope in one hand and Sh!t in the other, it still stinks.

It makes perfect sense..........its kinda like when you apply to college and you have the reach schools. I bet Snow is asking a lot and hopes that one team just pays up for it. It could absolutely happen. Perhaps as we get closer to the trade deadline.

Are you serious? Who likes to share personal info about family members with people they really don't know? If he hated NY he would have never signed that 7 yr deal
- Vukota

VERY Serious.

I know you have the inside track because your sons squirt or pee wee coach blah blah blah knows all the Islander coaches and GM but I don't think anyone knows the real reason Travis wants out but he does. Don't know why he signed the 7 year deal but he thought it was the right thing to do at the time. That's actually a question I had for you since you have the inside track

Read this article and then go back and look at your posts and you'll see how dumb they are. Guess what no inside information needed for that

No you're an idiot for trying to say I think I have some inside info and that I think I'm in the know, when every time I do post something I heard I've always followed it up with take it for what its worth and said on many occasions that it was never 100% fact just repeating what I heard from people a tad bit more connected then you and your wonderful opinions and insight

Yeah but its not your normal trading situation. The isles don't want to trade him. These other Gm's aren't stupid. If Snow doesn't say anything then they think something is wrong with him and they would never offer full value for him. If they know what the deal is they will realize there is nothing wrong with him and might offer a realistic offer. Teams just don't trade young top 4 dman on good deals for another Dman. C'mon man. GM's in this league talk all the time. Snow can't control what another GM decides to do with that info
- Vukota

They just had GM meetings last week. Probably where some of the others talked about / shared. Sure alot of ideas get kicked around when you have all 30 guys together.

We need some light shed on this. Hate being in the dark.

Very well could be. You would just think other GM's would be putting up some kind of red flags if they just thought Hamonic was available for no reason especially when D is not their strongest position to begin with.

Still don't know the real reason he is leaving do you? A lot of assumptions but we don't know. Might very well be an illness but why hide it? God forbid one of his family members is fighting a disease etc. and he wants to be closer to them to help, I get it but why not just say it? Hey a family member is ill etc. Wouldn't it make things a lot easier and all the speculation would stop?

When it comes to family people keep stuff close to the vest. He talked to his teammates today and I'm sure they all know what the deal is. Granted as fans we would like to know but you wouldn't tell strangers about your family situation so why should he? I lost my sister to cancer in August and I never mentioned it to anyone until the very end so they could pay their respects. It's a very hard thing to talk about with people you are very close to never mind the outside world.

No problem back at you Mick, everyone has their opinions and my whole point is the secrecy just makes it worse. The press is going to be all over this like stnk on poop which just makes it more of a distraction to the team imho.
