You should be on the Rags thread pushing Boyles and Yandles value up.
Nope, but when your wrong your wrong stop trying to twist it.
We agree on MSL but could you imagine what Tampa would have gotten in return for him if he just requested a trade? Holy poop they probably could have gotten another first rounder too. - nyisles7
Actually, MSL REQUESTED a trade in 2009. So the reason Tampa got so much was because he was patient for 5 years and didn't make it a circus |

I see it as a very plausible scenario. Nurse is still a bit unproven and yak hasn't lived up to expectations. Hamonics talent doesn't grow on trees and his contract is one of a kind. His cap hit is so cheap compared to his talent. That will be fully taken into consideration. Garth has made very very good trades. Even ones we thought were a bit iffy turned out to be pretty damn good imho. I trust him on this. I'm asking for the moon if I were him. Am I over valuing hammer? Maybe... but I have every reason to. Trade request or not, Garth will only move him for the right trade. - Dedshark
there is ZERO chance the oilers move nurse for anything less than a superstar defender in the ilk of the truly elite
and since those guys don't get moved, nurse will be an oiler for a long time.
id wager hes looked at as not much less valuable to the franchise than connor |

Hamonic for Tanev? - rangerdanger94
Tanev is excellent but I'd still be gutted. |

It is a smack to the face once you realize the Porsche doesn't have cup holders...but at that point you can make the hot chick sitting in the passenger seat hold your drink. - rangerdanger94[/quote
See that's why I bought the SLS Roadster, it has cup holders |

It's also, literally, a smack in the face when you realize the hot chick sitting in the passenger seat isn't a chick. |

Darren Dreger has Wpg, Edm, Cgy and Van on his list. Winnipeg is Hammers' obvious team. But... Why not Minnesota? Chicago? St. Louis? All just as close or even closer to his home town of Winnipeg. If Vancouver is on his list why not Detroit, Columbus or Toronto again all closer. I know he wants to closer to home but Garth will get what he feels is the best deal for the Isles and that might mean other team's then whats on Hammers' list.

That is very true Dan... So why have them on the list? Is there something we're all missing? |

I'm trading to make the New York Islanders better, or it's not happening. These players get paid plenty of money to deal with reality. I'd do my best to accommodate him, but it needs to make my team better. The paying customers are top priority. |

Don't get me wrong...I'm upset. Hamonic is one of my favorite Islanders. But this may not turn out to be the unmitigated disaster that it feels like it could be. - eichiefs9
would enstrom plus a pick or prospect work?

Totally, agree. Hammer we will try to accommodate you but if there isn't anything out there that makes sense then be prepared to play as an Islander until a trade comes along that does.

Minnesota is the next closest NHL city, geographically. WPG just traded a bunch of chips. Doubtful a deal happens with them.
EDM & CAL still need to take flight. Chicago(biggest airport in the US) closer than Vancouver-about the same as EDM/CAL as are a handful of other teams south of the border.
So, why THOSE 4 Canadian teams only? Customs?
Something's missing that we don't know yet.
