Yep. Not too many chances either way. The Hawks just have to start getting pucks at the net. The cycle looked good. I'm expecting a big second period like the Calgary game.

Definitely not an ideal start getting outplayed for the majority of 20 minutes against a vastly inferior team....but i guess it could have been worse, and i guess you'd expect them to come out flying and start fast like they did.....but still. Gotta be better offensively and in transition. Our passing has been abysmal and we look sloppy as hell.

Forcing the neutral zone stretch pass which is leading to lots of counter attack chances for the Oil. Panarin is so GD good though. He does whatever he wants with the biscuit

Sportsnet guys made a good point of showing how the Oilers employed good sticks to win puck battles and nullify any second chances.

We're also catching Edmonton in their first home game after a 4 game trip, but were obviously not able to capitalize in the first.

Oilers might be in the cellar, but McLellan is a HUGE upgrade and his teachings are beginning to sink in.
