I want to wake up and see the leafs have the 1st overall draft pick.
In the meantime, I can't watch a game and not hope they win.
I am very surprised at how well this team is playing. I honestly think they have the least talent in the league. - Aetherial
People think I'm joking, but I really am serious:
Right now, Babcock should be the favourite for the Jack Adams award.

Kessel not playing with Crosby. I think he is playing with Malkin.
Something is pretty smelly in Pen's Land.
Sid is playing the role of coach-killer. I expect a coaching change there in the near future. - Aetherial

Which stats are those Senstroll...
I watch the games. I see a lot of stuff out there.
You know what I don't see... Kadri getting many points.
How the Fcuk am I imagining that. What is the point that I am missing.
"Right now" (as I have already said, at least twice), he is sh1tting the bed in the points department. "Until' (as I have already said), he changes that he is not fulfilling a major part of being a number 1 center.
He is getting a free-pass because we feel all warm and fuzzy about the team playing better under Babcock.
I think he'll turn it around also, at least to some extent. He will never be an elite player, but I know he can do better.
A lot of people also know Bernier can do better... - Aetherial
kadri is getting good chances.. its just not going his way..
he'll come out of it.
you also need to note that he draws a lot of defensive attention away from his linemates |

Points - senstroll
Our number 1C is tied for 9th on team, one point ahead of Shawn Matthias.
Is that acceptable?
Does Kadri do more other important stuff that Komarov (who is pretty much a 3rd or 4th line guy), for example?
... I am partly playing devil's advocate here. I believe Kadri has been, in no small part, the victim of a tough streak of very bad luck. I am hoping this is followed by a streak of good luck to even things out.

Babock has said many times that Kadri has been the best forward on the leafs this season.
thats good enough for me at this point of my Zero expectations season |

It is early in the season, but I find the difference between the Leafs this year and last is shocking.
His impact, so far, has been way beyond what I would think.
If they don't finish bottom 3 with that lineup, He does deserve coach of the year.
If Kadri had any luck going his way, and Bernier was not absolutely abysmal, they would be in a playoff spot right now, having played the toughest schedule of any team so far. (I think, if I read that correctly?)

Uh no.
If he continues this exact same play and same points pace, that is not acceptable for a #1 C, sorry.
He is getting a free pass because we all have the warm fuzzies about the Leafs because our standards are that low.
He can't *really* be judged properly until the end of the season I think.

I am really torn right now between enjoying seeing the team putting in the effort and playing well, and seeing them also headed for a 9th -10th place finish in the east |

man.. its a (frank)ing slump... you need to relax LOL
happens pretty frequently in this sport.. and you also can consider the first dozen games a wash since the whole team wasnt scoring
Babcock on Kadri on the 15th:
“This is my two cents on Naz. He’s been –- in my opinion — the best forward on our team, he competes every night,” Maple Leafs coach Mike Babcock said Saturday. “He’s in on all the chances, he generates a ton and he’s been way better than I expected. In a 100 mile journey he’s on mile 25. He’s going to get a way better as long as he competes. If he wants to be good, he’s going to be good. It’s up to him.”

It is pretty much impossible for Leafs fans to cheer against the leafs this year, even while knowing that losing out on a top 4 or 5 pick this year will hurt.

I am chill Dozzer.
You guys also need to take what Babcock says with a LARGE grain of salt sometimes. I am pretty sure we all should know that by now.
