Phantom menace had horrible cinematography (which showed in the trailer), all shot in front of a green screen (which showed in the trailer) and had a very popcorn feel to it.

This one doesnt imo. Now it may still suck....but if feels much different.

It did try and correct the mistakes of Phantom Menace (not introducing your protagonist till 40 minutes into the movie), but it left Luke on the backburner big time, and I'm not even sure Snoke is in the movie for longer than 1 minute. Same with Luke (1 minute, maybe 30 seconds).

I think I stumbled on the full script via youtube.....and it wasn't good. Luke isn't in the movie till the very end. And its so prequelish.

The script was written by Abbrams and one of the original writers for the original three films.

Several mock scripts were leaked to the public on purpose.
Its most likely one of those.

Simply because when it comes to Star Wars, I rather prepare myself for disappointment. I actually thought Revenge of the Sith had a great script...but the acting was soooooooo terrible.

As an aside, the last 3 episodes of Clone Wars was really cool, and since it is now cannon, I wonder if its pertinent to these movies. I'm also enjoying this season of Rebels. James Earl Jones voice, and the way they portray Vader in this series is fricking awesome.

I hope it also means no random lightsabre swinging with the express goal of not actually hitting the other guy, but just getting nice looking glows.

Oh and Chewbacca is just chilling there too.


Oh, and lets throw baby luke and leia in there with their mom dying right away of a goddamn broken heart, even though leia straight up says she was around when she was young.

Yeah, they shouldn't have killed her off like that. There's a lot I would've done differently with the prequels.....like perhaps introducing a teenage Anakin as opposed to a little kid. The series probably could've started with Attack of the Clones, and an already angry Anakin or something.
