He tries to stick players into roles not suited for them instead of developing a system and player deployment tuned to his players strengths. Stastny sucked that he left, but can't fault him for taking more money to play in St Louis, they offered him 6.6m and he went with 7m.

ROR wanted 8mx8years from the Av and 1A/1B c duties. He forced his way out of that situation after the Avs botched it not signing him to that long term deal he wanted coming off his ELC.

But Grigo, Zads, Compher and the pick (AJ Greer and 2016 2nd rounder) is going help long term build a proper pipeline. the ROR deal was a painful that needed to be done and they got what they needed out of it, Wont look good now, but in 2-3 years it will

not really, its just a tiresome point thrown out against the Avs....should never have let those guys walk/trade...how are they any better than they currently are? They would be pushed against the top of the cap and with less depth.

If they tried to keep onto one of those guys, they would have to sacrifice EJ or Barrie instead, possible Duchene. Just everyone can't be 6-7m players on a team
