White wasn't even in the mindset to look at hockey even though there has been a push within the numerous club teams to get hockey as a varsity sport.

White wouldn't even discuss it.

A new AD might share the same beliefs but I am not so sure. There is a big contingency of people that want to see UB get a hockey team. I believe it will happen (obviously not right away). I also heard there is a donor waiting to build a rink.

There are schools in Rochester adding hockey to their program just to draw the extra students. Believe it or not, the extra tuition for all those roster players pays for the cost of the hockey program. (A local college AD is one of those unicorn friends. [Not all players have scholarships])

So, you are saying they took 21 year olds to use their stats for a study of their scoring? Can you see the problem with what you are saying?

I think your reading comprehension was faulty when you were trying to make sense of that article. I think what you missed is that they are looking at what players scored during that age range.

so if you are arguing that they may peak later than 29, I would love to discuss that with you. But if that is not your contention, then everything you posted makes no sense. Reread the article please

I'm not even going to argue with you because you just come in here to cause issues and purposely take the opposite stance from the majority of the group just to be a troll.

Move along.

The AD of one of the Rochester schools is a unicorn?

Nazareth recently added a varsity team (2 or 3 years ago)

It is expensive to run a rink but if you have someone footing the bill then why wouldn't you?

Nazareth is a private school, isn't it? From what I understand, the SUNY system, which would have to give the final blessing, is really hard to work with.

At least six women have lawyered up in the last 24 hours and plan to sue Charlie Sheen for intentional infliction of emotional distress, fraud, sexual battery ... and more are on the way.
A prominent Los Angeles lawyer tells TMZ, the 6 women contacted him Monday, and he has appointments with 4 more today.
The women claim they had both protected and unprotected sex with Sheen, as recently as last month, and he did not disclose his HIV status.
A source directly connected with Sheen says in the last 2 years, Sheen has had at least 200 partners, so the number of women who either will sue or plan to sue will almost certainly grow exponentially.

Yes and it is an a predominately female student body.

The SUNYAC added Nazareth and Canton (they used to be a 2 years school)

I know there is talk of Syracuse adding a program as well

I'm sorry, but those women were obviously stupid to begin with. Charlie Sheen's sexual exploits have been in the news for probably at least a decade. You don't willingly have unprotected sex with someone like that and just assume they don't have HIV.

People really need to start doing a better job of protecting themselves instead of trying to lay the blame at someone else's feet when their poor decisions come back to bite them in the ass.

It doesn't excuse his behavior/actions either, but good lord....

Lol. You said it, I am not arguing anything. You said they are taking players from the ages of 21-29 to see what their scoring was through that age range. Obviously that is impossible, because these young players would have no stats to compare. I point out that what you are saying makes no sense, you run and hide and call me a troll. Admitting you are wrong is an option. Calling me a troll is easier I guess.[url]

And I have never taken a stance on anything that I didn't believe. But hey it's easier to insult me and make false accusations than it is to argue a point that you are wrong about. Proving you wrong doesn't make me a troll.

I think people (Homie) are incredibly confused with peaking, and regression.

They are two different things.

The actual data proves (as in fact) that players (Not everyone) start to regress offensively after 25, and their production dips heavily after 30.

NO one said a player cannot have a career year at 27 or 28 or even 30. But if you are looking for someone who has 6 seasons under their belt and are in the middle of their prime to suddenly go on a upward trajectory for 5 years and become a consistent 30 goal scorer, you will probably (Not always) be disappointed.

Great read for us fans. Like he says, if we can get our shooting % just to average we should be staying a point per game team (or better).

I said the whole time that the data isn't necessarily wrong, but I do feel it was at least slightly "cherry picked" (not by you, but by the author of the article) to prove a point.
