Needs to go away as a reason to increase scoring.

If he trails his back skate it's not a problem. Lifting put him offside both times.

The thing is, it was blatantly offside, to me at least.

That would have been offside also.

The "Coaches Challange" has taking away the intigerity of this game!

Just say for instance - Ruff wanted to just stop the momentum of the game, usually the coach takes a timeout there. But instead he can keep his time out and use his coaches challange (same as a TO). Hate it

It should have been called right away. Human error is an element in sports.

That was not even close, and when calls get missed like that it flips the momentum inside a game when a goal gets waived off when it is literally the referees fault.

I was not a fan of a challenge from its inception but its becoming clear there is a problem with missed offsides. Lets see the sabres keep coming though, it has stunted them a few times this season already its time to overcome one of these.

I thought once you used a challenge, if you were wrong you lost your timeout?

Except if the challenge doesn't go his way, he loses his time out. If he gets it right, then the goal is disallowed and he keeps his time out.

I'm not a huge fan of it either, but it was definitely the right call.

That is correct. It's why the Sabres didn't have a timeout the other night after failing on the goalie interference challenge.

I would hope so, since they then get to rely on technology and zooming and slow motion...but the point is the game has been around for how long and now they're doing this...

Of course it sucks for us as Sabres fans as we've seen at least 3 goals called back now

Thrilling momentum swing, but let's kill that to have the refs talk for a few minutes. Entertainment value = a rotting armadillo.

1 inch wider goals and the Sabres are down 3-1.

It's funny because before there were challenges, fans were saying they wished there was a challenge option when things like this happened. Now that there is one, fans are saying they wished there wasn't because it's messing up the game.

Moral of the story....fans are fickle beings.

God forbid a sports/entertainment league let the game be the game rather than kill it off by stopping everything.

Blame the damn guys YOU (the league) employ for missing the calls (no offense, Stripes)
