Steven Stamkos needs to take a cut in pay because he is on the decline

If top-6 forwards peak at 25, and Mikhail Grigorenko wears number 25, then...

Rene Robert "peaked" at 27 years old with 100 points

my guess is his line mates had more to do with his production than his age

of course no graph takes into account pp time, line mates, ice time, etc

This is true, because he is definitely your average top 6 player, and not a franchise player or anything.

My guess is you are going to see all numbers decline because the NHL hates scoring.

Isn't Hedman leading the Bolts in goals and points?

Stamkos was almost invisible in the playoffs last year too until the Stanley Cup where he potted a few.

This may sound crazy, and to be honest, I didn't think about it this way until a friend of mine said it first, but Stamkos doesn't really scare me. Is he a good player? Yes, but he doesn't seem to really produce on his own. It probably sounds crazy, but he just doesn't seem to really be able to put the team on his back and will them to win the way that guys like Ovi, Crosby, Tavares, Toews, Kane, etc do.

I've seen plenty of Stamkos. I'm not basing my opinion off of stats, I'm basing it off of what I see with my own two eyes.

I'm not saying he's not a good player, but I just don't fear him the same way I do those other guys.
