Just saw Landeskog at the Buffalo airport

How do you do it in the other two situations?
- Der Kaiser

Most of the time in close plays the puck is on the ice so you are already looking that way.

It would take an extra half second or two for your brain to process where the player is in the air in regards to the blue line, where the puck was and where the other players are.

That extra time could get someone lit up. It is not something the NHL, AHL, ECHL, NCAA wants is more time for an official to make a call like offsides.

On top of that there is more room for error for something as black and white as offsides.

I have to say Dom but that's only because I didn't really get to see 11 play that I can remember anyway (I am only 32)

But you have a valid point there were 3 great goalies with Roy, Broduer and Dom and Dom stood above all

- Stripes77

Having seen both it's a very tough call but I would say they're 1a and 1b. I'm obviously partial to Bert.

Had the 75 team won a cup I would think most people would say Gil. But since neither won a cup here I personally have to go by what I witnessed.

But from everything I have been told that when he touched the puck it was just as exciting as when Dom made a ridiculous save.

It was like every time he skated down the ice with the puck a goal was coming.

I would agree if we won that cup in '75 and he was conn smythe winner instead of Bernie Parent, he would be considered the greatest Sabre. Perreault was on a par with Orr and Lafleur in those days.

Andrew Peters, he wasn't even good at doing the reason he was on a NHL roster

He got beat up by a Goalie, and he was supposed to be an enforcer.

Albeit, it was a golden glove boxer goalie. Lol

boulton

Boulton was much better at his "job".

There is a reason Boulton lasted and Peters didn't in the league

Boulton had almost the same amount of points in 35 games in one season for Buffalo than Peters had his entire career

is he the greatest or is dom

my two cents is dom, just because we saw 3 unreal goalies and he stood above the other 2

- homiedclown

No way that Perreault comes close to Dom. Dom was the best player at his position and the best player in the league in many years. Perreault - while definitely great - never reached that kind of level.

Shawn Anderson- 1st rd 5th overall in 1986, played 255 games and 62 pts.

worst draft pick- Joel Savage, 1st rd 13th overall, a whopping 3 career games

Obviously you never saw Perreault play. I get it, you're a young guy who only thinks it's Dom as the greatest. You may be right that Dom is the best. For my money it's closer than people think.

I think that most people's opinion label Dom as the greatest goalie of all time gives him the nod of 11 just because he has never been considered the greatest player during any one season let alone of all time.

2 Harts is hard to beat if you didn't even win a scoring title ya know?
