with mccabe, pysyk, and risto playing more and more, and getting better

and franson putting up points

team is only going to get better in their own end

Can skunk pick up his pace and reach 50 points? He's on a 31 pint clip.

Goaltending will take care of most of that. I still worry about the D in our own end. Past few games we've given up way to many chances. Hopefully Bogo coming back whenever he does helps with that.

After he scored and was near the bench . Just realized how short he is compared to the rest of the team. Almost looked like Gerbe out there.

Happy 65th birthday to the greatest Sabre, Gilbert Perreault! Thank you Bert for giving this kid so many great memories in the early days of the franchise.

Stripes:

I have to say I missed the entire Sabres game and only caught some of the Bills game (I was reffing an ECHL game down here) but from everything I read (red) Ullmark played a helluva game.

It's nice to see a goalie carry a struggling team (when we actually want to win). It's Friday and both the Sabres and Bills won last night. Let the partying begin!

Looks like you had an interesting game to be part of last night. Lots of scoring.

is he the greatest or is dom

my two cents is dom, just because we saw 3 unreal goalies and he stood above the other 2

It isn't too much gray area. They already add an "air element" for deciding when a defensive team has cleared the puck.

I also suspect that if - on a lifted shot - a puck completely crosses the goal line into the goal before the goalie gloves it, the rules deem that a goal, right?

- Der Kaiser

Sure it is. Because now instead of having to find the puck you have to determine whether or not the player in the air is "touching" the blue line? WAY too much gray area. Take it from someone who refs high end hockey it is way too much gray area.

Lots of scoring indeed 9 total goals and a pretty good scrap. Everything fans of the ECHL come to see.

The first Sabre ever drafted

Didn't speak a lick of english when he got here

Carried the franchise in the early days on his back, won the Calder and the lady Byng

Scored over 500 goals in his career

Retired a Sabre after 15 years.

Dominated games like Bobby Orr and Guy Lafleur, mvp of the 78 all star game played in Buff.

As a kid I was mesmurized by his end to end rushes.

You had to see him live to appreciate him. The French Connection WAS this town's sports highlight reel for several years.

I have to say Dom but that's only because I didn't really get to see 11 play that I can remember anyway (I am only 32)

But you have a valid point there were 3 great goalies with Roy, Broduer and Dom and Dom stood above all
