Pacioretty is a guy you can plug into a top 6 role and in the right situation can get 25-30 goals + about 10 empty netters. that's valuable today. i don't believe he has lost value with his decline in production the last 12 months but i also don't think he was ever as good/valuable as a lot of people made him out to be prior to that.

I think there's only 5% chance Marner starts next season with the Leafs. He may come up midseason if he dominates the AHL (by that I means he starts with 18+ points in 10 games. IE he'll most likely spend the whole season there.

Plus I really think how Lupul plays would be a very nice fit with Stamkos.

Marner can play AHL next year - I thought it would have to be NHL or CHL given his age?

gig day for me.. been 4 months since we played my hometown.. (we signed off that we wouldnt to get a higher pay) so i am really looking forward to it.. i love gigs that dont involve driving lol

10 mill. Chicago has two of those hits on their cap. It should be doable, but they'd have to move Phaneuf, Bernier and a couple other big contracts since they're only Horton's LTIR below the cap now even after dumping 6.8m of Kessel's AAV.

I kind of agree.

It would be great to have him on the team but that cap hit would be huge. I don't know if that hurts the team going forward.

I also still think we are 5 years away from being a consistent contending team.
