I long for the days of Phaneuf bashing and defending...
Both Reimer and Bernier are average at best goalies.
I'm glad that Reimer is getting a bit of a groove going here, but neither one of these goalies is the answer long-term, and neither one is better than the other career-wise, so why are we even debating between the two? - gravyface
I don't know that there was ever much defending in the Phaneuf bashing wars - 99% bashing. |

I've been really impressed with Kadri to be honest (sounds weird with 1 goal). Everything about his game (except points) seems to have improved massively.
Now, it may have to do all the other forwards we have on the team, but when Kadri (and JVR to a lesser extent, just) step on the ice, they actually look threatening and carry the play constantly in the favour of the Leafs. It may just be an optical illusion, as after them we get to see PAP, Spalling, Winnik etc. - walshyleafsfan
No optical illusion: Kadri's stronger on the puck this year, waaaay better on the dot, and still carries the play well and as always, elusive, so yeah, if his shooting percentage was even career average, he'd have around 6-7 goals this year. |

I still think Kadri should be kept. he's good enough and young enough to be the answer as a solid #2 centre.
Just like guys with abnormally high will see their numbers drop, Kadri's will rise. That fluke low number will not continue. |

I just read on a different blog site that Reimer and Price have played the same number of games and Reimer has a better 5v5 save pct. Take that habs fans. |

Im sure Sid will turn it around as well.
But man OV can score...about to take over as the Leading Russian goal scorer of all time in half as many games - Fakepartofme
I liked when he scored his 2nd on the leafs to take the rusian lead, puts his finger in the air, like only a russian hotdoger can do, only to have the goal disallowed on goalie interference. Since then he's been shooting every time he gets the puck, hence 15 shots in 1 game.

yeah, literally JUST read that.. Heard Avs/Sens are talking, but talks are obviously premature .. read that the Avs would want Zibanejad & Chabot in return for Duchene..
edit: who are the Leafs version of Zibanejad/Chabot? I know Mika, but not familiar with Chabot.. |
