They caught lightning in a bottle. The NHL stopped calling every single penalty after those two years. They still would have been good but they weren't built for playoff hockey. At least that's my theory.

We did not lose the "Captains" 7 years ago.

Those injuries on the blue line is the most Buffalo thing to happen.
