That 4.5 mil confused me. but just so we're clear we are indeed talking about the pilsbury doughboy and DD has lost his mind, yes?

Trying to follow 2 convo's about current/former Leafs has me at a headache.

Kessel was/is/never will be worth his contract/assets given up to/for him

Toronto retined a goodly share of Phil Kessel's contract so that his annual cost to Pittsburgh is $4.5 mil (if I am really sober during the work week). And yes, my references to fatbag are meant to signify Mr. Kessel.

DD is interrupting and, in this instance, he is wrong. It's unusual, but it's so.

- Der Kaiser

It's 6.8 mil as they retained 1.2 mil and his cap hit on his contract is 8 mil.

EDIT: Kessels contact is $6.8M this year and the Leafs retained $1.2M. So Kessels cost to the Pens is $4.6M.

No, his cost to the pens is 6.8 mil after 1.2 retained. Originally cap hit was 8 mil.

Kessel is a waste.

Has and always will be.

Really thought any convo of him here had ended months ago and saved a ton of wasted breath.

And it's only once as my dislike for Kessel is an opinion.

His salary to Pittsburgh this year is 5.5 as Toronto paid him his 4.5 signing bonus in July prior to moving him.

I remember someone on here told me that Jamie Benn would never be that great I wanted us to trade for him so bad when he was with the Kelowna Rockets with Tyler Myers

The US is developing a lot of good players. They need a few more of them to turn out to be great players. Eichel and hopefully Matthews is a good start, but they need a few more.
- buffalofan19

I'd like to see the USHL turn out the most players drafted in a year sometime soon so then all those idiots in ontario can shut their yaps about the OHL...
