Doesn't answer my first question though. Petry is in his prime, and paid in free agency. Bouwmeester is (probably) going to get worse .

It doesn't really solve the issues on the back end for us either. we have plenty of player who can play the 3-6 role, it's the other top pairing guy we need. Bouwmeester isn't that anymore.
