Really like seeing McCabe and Pysyk as a pairing. I think McCabe's confidence is growing by the game/week.

Ristolainen looks like the number 1 for years. He looks so much better this year. When he wants to take over, he can, and he's so young it's scary to think who he will become.

Add those three to Bogosian and I like the top 4. Gorges and Franson as the third pair works for now.

I doubt they buy him out too, but your captain cannot play on the third or fourth line. I like his vetran leadership, but if we can get another top 6 (I am currently stuck on Stamkos) I dont think he has a spot on the team. Only time will tell, but I think we buy him out.

Edit: His salary for next year is $2m (cap hit of $4.25) so maybe it is better to keep him here.

Despite Ochotanko, i actually think the team started playing better after Kane got injured. I suspect that's more because of chemistry being found with up front and finally getting acclimated with the new coach's system. Nevertheless *pot stirred*

It will be interesting to see the line shuffling start all over again once he comes back. i have a feeling once he gets 20 games under his belt with a line he's used to, he'll look different.

Ah yes the miracle run of 2011. Still remember that vivildy. Hamilton on WGR saying that a player in the locker room told him in confidence (after the announcement of Roy's season ending injury) "watch we're going to be better".

Oh i don't actually think it's kane's fault, they all looked a little lost early on. With so many new faces and finally a coach who is semi competent it was going to take some time for everyone to get going.

Agreed. I just think they're continuing to gell as a team. So, he would probably be right there with them if he wasn't hurt.
It already looks like several of them know when to jump in to a play or take off for a breakaway pass. It can only get better from here.

Wow, people really do not like Derek Roy. Sure, from what I've heard he's a bit of a tool, but he was very good for us for a number of years, and always played up to, or outplayed his contract. Maybe that's because he was playing along side Vanek's grotesque deal, but nevertheless. I also went with Toffoli and Klingberg. 2 players I think could be very boom or bust this week. I went with Condon and Crawford as my goalies. Even though the Blackhawks play four games this week, none are back-to-back, so it's possible Crawford plays every game.
