Very impressed with this young Sabres team so far. Plays hard and with gravitas. Flyers have been (frank)ing pathetic. You guys have such a bright future.

They're winning face-offs too. Only Giroux is over 50% on draws for the Flyers tonight.

Yeah - all that down time while we controlled play in the third period cost him a bit of focus and composure he was showing early tonight.

It happens, i've liked his performance tonight overall. Definitely earned himself another start but i get this feeling they'll go back to CJ

So you can get 5 and a game even if the guy never comes off the ice? What kind of horsepoop is that?

Edit: Definitely a penalty, but the 5 and a game are usually reserved for injury/blood drawn. And if he doesn't come off the ice, he's neither.

How much credit to Bylsma for a system that generates almost 40 shots a game?

No sound. Did they also penalize Simmonds for any of the penalties he committed after that hit?

*EDIT* *EDIT* Nevermind

a lot, but I would also give credit to Terry Murray and Dave Barr. I really like this coaching staff.

meh it was at the end of the game, no biggie. What was really surprising is that Simmonds didn't make Gorges a punching bag.

Apparently if you're down 3-0 in the third you can punch guys in the face with gloves on front of the ref and it's cool.

Pathetic. Should have lit Gorges up. But I guess we deserve it in a sense.

So good to beat the Flyers, and nice game by Ullmark, his first win.

Agreed. The entire coaching staff is head and shoulders better than last year. It's really great to see the energy, forecheck and systems that they have instilled in the team.

Also, no sarcasm on Psysk. I think he is incredibly smart and steady. One of my favourites. Unfortunately he was on the ice right for the Philly goal right after i made the previous post.

Lastly, too had Ulmark didn't get the shutout. Who plays on Sunday, him or Johnson?

I'd play Ullmark. He deserves two starts in a row.
