I don't like it that math is somehow making its way so deeply into my hockey experience. It' OK when I have to count the number of goals, or determine how much time is left, and maybe even what the magic number might be for the Sabres to make the playoffs, but good DOG this FENWICK and HERO crap boggles my brain.

Here's my issue with the advanced stats that exist today. There are so many people who now only care about what the advanced stats say and don't actually pay attention to the games. They can tell you a lot about a player or team, but they should not be the only aspect that gets evaluated in either case. Watching the game and applying those advanced stats to what you see (if you wish to do so) is how they should be used. Unfortunately, there are plenty who feel they are gospel.

If I remember properly, Saturday would be awfully washed out and anxious, though.

(And we'd be looking at a week of Ramen Noodles frozen vegetables and welfare cheese for dinner.)

Montreal will come back down to earth at some point. They'll be a good team all year, but they'll never sustain the pace they've been playing at.

As long as they don't have any injuries . they might lose 1 win 4. They are on the west coast tonight.

To quote the aforementioned Mike Schoop.

I hate when it's used solely to judge individual players. It is however IMO more useful when comparing teams. They usually represent the standings pretty well
