Ridiculous.

So in the 21 games after the trade last year, he missed 7, now he's going to miss what 15-20 to start the season? While Kane is out for 6 weeks.

That trade will end up being awful.

O'Reilly trade looks solid.

- sbroads24

I don't mind it looking awful now as long as it pays off later on. Timing is everything, if he's in the lineup when it matters the most I think people will let the injury thing go (especially give how hard he plays).

I have nothing left to say about Bogosian.

Hey, I'm gonna be in Buffalo with my new wife on November 6th and want to take her to her 1st NHL game so trying for the Sabres vs. Canucks on the 7th. If anyone has extra tickets please let me know and how much you would want for them! Thanks all!!!
- Orphen22

There have been tickets available for all the games so far. Just check stubhub. I'm sure you'll find something for a decent price on there.

I agree. My expectations for this season wasnt high. All i really expected was for ,at some point, players to gel and roster spots to be solidified. injuries suck but it happens. Now im just hoping eichle finds some chemistry with other players.

Injuries are annoying no matter when they occur. The saving grace, right now, is that while a guy like Myers has been the best player in the trade so far, we still have yet to see him play big when it matters most. He may do it this year with Winnipeg, but it's still a question mark.

Cheapest tickets there are $33. My guess is they go down closer to game day.

tickets are much cheaper vs when we were good, seems the season ticket holders are dumping a high % of their tickets

couple of years ago, wanted tickets for the florida state/clemson game

tickets were insane, over $100 a pop

I drove out there, found a place were I could download the tickets and print them, waited 40 minutes before kickoff and got 3rd row seats on the 50 yard line for $10 each

Even when the team was good, you could find decent priced tickets on Ebay, Craigslist, and/or Stubhub. You just had to know when and where to look, and be vigilant, checking multiple times a day. There is always someone looking just to get rid of his tickets at the last minute, and not worried about making a huge profit off of them.

Where did you download those? Stubhub has a policy where they stop selling about an hour or an hour and a half before the start.

Yes and often to the players acquired in the Kane deal. It's a problem.

Also, Kane is supposed to be one of the players that gets us to the postseason. He needs to be in the lineup.

I get that this season isn't about playoffs, but at this point we can't count on him being healthy at any point in time.

This team could have traded for Crosby or Malkin and either one would have gotten hurt, it's just everyday life in Buffalo sports.

It sucks that hes historically hurt alot but all his injuries are unrelated. Ive only seen him play a few games but he stands out almost every shift in a good way.

Not that Kane being hurt is a good thing, but this could be a "blessing" since Eichel/Kane were like glue on pairings, so as you said, it will be nice to see what other options can be found.

The Sabres and Bills both spent the offseason acquiring players that were hurt. And now they are hurt again. Brilliant.

The players that are both incredibly talented and incredibly durable usually aren't there to be acquired.

Sabres out shooting opponents in 6 of 8 games so far. It took 71 games to reach the same landmark last year.

The chances will get buried, Reinhart and Eichel will improve and we'll score goals. And look like the Bruins, because our defense is shoddy and our goalies are worse.

There were 85 total players that appeared in all 82 games (a few with 84 due to trades) in the entire league last year. That's not that many when you really think about it. That's not even an average of 3 guys per team.

There were many players that played 78+, which is missing 4 games or less.

It's the missing 10+ games annually that Bogosian and Kane seem to miss every year that is troubling.

Don't get me wrong, Myers misses his fair share, but the point of this deal was to upgrade this team at those positions. So far our defense is shaky, and the offense is stagnant.

Injuries are apart of sports. They aren't predictable. Sure some guys have the tendencies to get injured (Tin Man Tim). But for Kane who had a hurt shoulder to sprain his MCL in a freak accident is just that its a freak accident. But due to the style of hockey he plays you'll never get him for a full 82 game season. He will probably play around 70 games. It's the nature of the beast.

Bogosian as he ages and learns more how to use his body (remember he just turned 25) his injuries will subside. At least that's what I think.

Myers is often injured because he is a 6'7 giraffe on skates that skates very well but that leaves him vulnerable to getting hurt more. Let's not forget almost every time he tried blocking a shot he broke something.

The Lehner concussion thing is something to be worried about because head injuries are so weird. Him not being able to skate is probably what lead to him spraining his ankle like that. Let him fully heal and get fully conditioned before bringing him back.
