Unless they traded him for someone better.

So much this.

We all like the kid. But why do we fall in love with players?

If it was Ennis and Girgensons I would want a helluva lot more than Fowler and Gibson though. It wouldn't make sense for Murray to give up more assets after trading a first for Lehner this soon.

However I do like how the D is lining up if it is for Fowler

It's all good, just wanted to speculate.

if they are, him being pointless probably isn't helping.

My money is on McGinn. Said day of trade that we didn't need him and he would be an expendable piece.

Kopitar?

But seriously. Who's out there really? We have too many forwards as it is.

- Wetbandit1

He's not an elite talent, truth is if he's on the third line his production vs a guy like larsson may not be as big a gap as people think. I'd move him if it meant we were upgrading. You're right though, it depends on what's actually out there.

89 mentioned someone we wouldn't necessarily be happy to see gone, not sure McGinn fits that bill. However I share your opinion of him, could recover the 2nd rounder we gave up in the O'Reilly trade (in terms of value not that specific pick).

Movable bottom 6 pieces:
Larsson
Foligno
McGinn
Girgensons (he'd probably be bottom 6 on a contender)

The return for most of those would be underwhelming, but a package could bring what we need on the defense.

Realistic candidates in my opinion are: 63, 28, 23, 22, 82. Hopefully Murray can include Weber in there somehow.

I'd rather get Vatanen, personally. Apparently Ed Stein doesn't see them resigning him. My friends that are more die hard Ducks fans would be okay with losing him also.

Trade Reinhart while he is still worth a bag of pucks. In another year he will be worth as much as grigerenko. The kid belongs in AHL.

I would think it would be McGinn for khudobin. Ducks don't need him they would call up Gibson. Sabres get an upgrade over Johnson for short term.

He's a great PP QB.

I don't know why they want to get rid of him, other than a numbers game. Vatanen, Despres, and Lindholm are all RFAs at the end of the year.

4 pts in 8 games and a plus 1. Seems like he is doing alright to me for a rookie.

Because they're flush with offensive guys and the sad reality is the internal cap will probably force the ducks to move one of them.

Sabres go another 10 years with no playoffs. Great job with that rebuild

First of all, we'd have to go 10 years with no playoffs before we could go ANOTHER 10 years.

Secondly, can I borrow your crystal ball that says they're gonna miss for the next 10 years? I'd like to see if I ever win the lottery so I know if it's worth it to keep playing.

Your team needs to win a cup this century before you can openly troll other teams fan bases.

You may see the Habs stink some years, but you will never see the management lose on purpose. That is laughable and just admitting that you have no idea how to build a team. Just a sad sad organization. And then they drafted Reinhart number 2 overall

I will ask again . Did Reinhart kick your dog or something?. Anybody that has actually watched the games has seen him improve every game . Come back in 4 years and we will judge the players.

When we signed ROR, I wondered if Girgensons and he kind of occupied the same space? What if down the road our centers were, Eichel #1, ROR #2 and Larsson #3 and we traded Girgensons far away where we naver had to play against him?
....and I like Girgensons....A LOT. He's probably got some trade value right now because he's dirt cheap and the recieving team can negotiate their own salary with him when his contract is up. He's probably a pretty valuable trade piece. And I don't want to see him traded.

Man, I really cannot understand what is wrong with Anaheim. This same team was oh so close to the cup finals last year while dominating in all facets of the game and now they can't buy a goal. They are the biggest mystery to me so far this season.

i think it's time to fire Boudreau, they have Maclean waiting in the ranks to step in.
