Yes.

Edit: I'd still Leave Kunitz on the top line. I dont think he's been the problem with that line at all.

Drouin has been the Bolts best player so far. He might only have one goal but he is getting the assists and generally looks like the player that was the highly touted prospect Tampa drafted in 2013.
- MidnightMarauder

Haven't watched him this year, had last year on my mind when he rarely scored and was on the 4th line/bench. Thought he was still falling out of favor there.

Ok, I was off my rocker on that one.

Yup. Time to buy low on him was last year. I wanted the Pens to make a move badly for him.
- Pens_Burgh

I was all for a Pouliot, Druin swap last season. Imagine if we pulled the Kessel coup and then made just one more move like that to set our LW position.

That won't be possible. Keeping Stamkos means losing at least one/two other quality players.
- jfkst1

I see it being Filppula, Garrison, Carle, Bishop, some combination of those guys that are going to be off the books, but they have so much talent waiting in minors that losing those guys won't cause them to miss a step.

Ryan Wilson: Win Now Mode May Force A Tough Trade Decision
Win Now Mode May Force A Tough Trade Decision

First you say;

"Chris Kunitz, David Perron, and Patric Hornqvist have combined for one point this year. "

Then you say;

"Patric Hornqvist is the type of player that all 30 NHL general managers would talk about wanting on their team"

Why would any NHL GM's want a player you're calling a top 6 fwd who hasn't even registered a point yet this season? I don't think anyone is clamoring for Hornquist. Yeah it's not only about 6 or 7 games but if you look at who he's playing with at times I'm going to go with his value being MUCH lower than you suspect.

Maybe they miss Martin more than they thought they would although he was not very good defensively. Losing Niskanen the year before did not help either.

I think very highly of Yzerman and the TBL as a whole. I predicted them and DAL in the finals this season and entirely agree that they are setup to be a strong team for years to come. Callahan, Filppula, Carle are the three they should want to move IMO. Garrison is a quality dman. Bishop should be moved once it is proven he can be replaced.

He's like Milan Lucic, Wayne Simmonds, etc.....not that I'm comparing them as players, but he plays a style/role (proven effectively throughout large sample size) that GMs will always want.

If and only if it's for a LW version of Hornqvist. Let's not forget that they got Hornqvist for the *type* of player he is, and not just the fact that he's a top 6 RW.

I think every NHL GM would want a 20+ goal scoring, 2 way player who is only 28 and has a favorable cap hit. 6-7 games is a slump, not an overall view of his skill set.

Throughout large sample size. Exactly. Not 7 games at the start of a season with like 9 new players on the roster and 3 coming back from crazy injury/surgeries/diseases.

What this team needs is some shuffling of lines....and time.

I advised a co-worker of mine to take him in the pool he was in. Kid has way too much talent to be in the doghouse for too long. So far, it looks like last year's playoff benchings really woke him up because he came into camp looking determined to supplant himself into the top six for Tampa.

Comical, really.

I'd trade just about any other forward besides Malkin or Crosby before Horny.
