I would say probably Pysyk since the Risto experiment in preseason did not go well.
- HonkFortheGoose

I'm thing its either him or Bogo. Hopefully bogo can replace Gorges on that top pair with risto and slide him down with Franson

I've disliked the Franson signing since day 1 and I'm trying not to judge but he is so damn slow.

Imo there's a reason he was still unsigned in September and we're realizing that now.

Positive note: The youth "core" Eichel, Sam, Kane, ROR, Ennis, Risto, Pysyk, McCabe seem to finally be adjusting. The first few games looked like a pickup roster, which is expected. Should be interesting to see who slides to the left when bogo comes back.

Great PP guy...but yes he's not the quickest, I think that's the exact reason why he was signed so late.

I think they had bogo on the left with risto...doesn't seem as if it bothers him that much

I hate the 3 on 3 OT. It does not resemble a hockey game to me.

Pond hockey...taking the puck out of the zone and taking it back behind your own net.

I like the chances...but it's total pond hockey.

Both times I remember seeing Eichel on the ice during the 3 on 3, they spent the whole time in their own end. I really wanted to see what kind of damage he could do too, but can't score if you can't get out of your defensive zone.

The second shift of him out there was brutal too, because he won the faceoff cleanly and then Risto didn't seem to know what to do and gave the puck away.

crazy dangerous 3v3...1 little error and it's 2 on 1 or breakaway.

I know. Overall though, I thought Risto struggled last night. He seemed slow and just a step behind most of the night to me.

yep.

Freaking Eichel...showed some real power last night....they should be looking to trade him to the Leafs - Bernier/Kadri and Gardiner for Eichel

Really? I thought he was pretty good. Towards the end of the game and especially in 3 on 3 he looked really tired though.

Edit: In fairness his pair was on the ice for quite a few shots against as well, specifically from that top line.

imo, it's better than the shootout, your hockey holiness
- Michael Pachla

I guess I'm old school. I was actually ok when a tie was an accepted end of a hockey game. 4 on 4 was ok as well, it was still hockey. But 3 on 3 looked like the games we used to play on the homemade rink we used to make when I was a kid.
I'd rather have the shoot out after 4 on 4 and get it over with.

Took the words right out of my mouth. It looks like a lot of fun but so unprofessional. Like Im not against a method that gets the crowd on their feet but was this the only way? Hopefully after a while teams understand it better and it will look a little more organized.

I find the suggestion that 3 on 3 overtime is somehow less of a gimmick than the shootout hilarious.

3 on 3 is very exciting when played by good teams. Unfortunately our teams are not very good.
